true i believe joker is a harder player on hard court than nadal and im sure fed would of loved to beat nadal again

Fed would've been "happier" after beating Nadal in the final, but you're right, Fed is happy to be in the final, as he always is.

Believe me, he's happy. Maybe, Djoko is more of a threat on hardcourts than Nadal to other players, but not to Fed. Fed's nightmare is Nadal, nobody else.

I wouldn't underestimate Novak. The only ones to win Master Series titles this Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer. I think Rog is going to have his hands full, but I hope he pulls out a great win.

Federer would have had an easier match with Nadal. The guy he is playing is better on the surface than Nadal.

I believe Roger is the type of person who has lots of pride. Thus, he probably would prefer to play his nemesis Nadal. He wants to beat Rafa badly and improve his record against him; he's not the type to shy away from a challenge. He wishes to re-assert his #1 ranking over the #2 whenever the opportunity presents itself.

You're delusional...you're too obsessed with Nad and Fed's rivary that you dismiss any other player there is. Joker has a chance to take it to Fed. Don't be so sad the clay court season is not going anywhere next year so Nad will collect his wins.

Really? since when? the last time they played in Dubai, when joker was #14 and it still went 3 sets?

and in between roger lost to willy few times, almost to raffa in London, things are getting a bit tougher for our friend roger, much tuffer

Djokovic was totally outplayed in the Dubai match. Djokovic was extremely lucky to sneak out that 2nd set. It was not a close match at all. I am not saying Djokovic is not at threat to Roger, but most of their past matches have been very solid in Roger's favor.

The Dubai court was made of the same stuff as the US Open courts. It was obvious the speed was there too. Nadal can give fits to Fed on any surface. This has been proven time and time again. As for the match tomorrow, Joker won't win a set. Bank on it.

Why are you so sure Djokovic wont win a set tommorow? I am not saying I think he will win, I do believe Federer will end up winning, and wouldnt be surprised if he won in straight sets. I am a bit surprised you seem so certain of that though, the way Djokovic has played this tournament and this year on hard courts.

I dont even try to dicipher the varying hard court surface and speeds anymore. To me it is hard courts, there isnt a major difference in any of them. The one that had the biggest difference was rebound ace, but the Australian Open isnt on real rebound ace anymore, so even that is out of the discussion now.

I say that because Djokovic hits a ball that won't trouble Fed (and I don't like him). But I've seen so many people with relatively clean or flat shots lose to Fed time and time again. Nalbandian, Agassi, Safin. Yes some of them have wins but try to count on one hand how many in total these guys have from 2004 to now. Djokovic better have his wheels greased up because if he's gonna win he better run alot, counterpunch and put Fed on his heels. All in the same match.

Yeah Feder is happy...we all know that,... but for how long??? Maybe next time he won't be in finals at all...lol. If not next time maybe on US Open. Djokovic is learning fast, people are sayin', and Rafa doesn't seems to look very happy at all. One thing I know... Djokovic is happiest of them, for sure. So, see you soon.

Why Federer likes the matchup with Djokovic is that Djokovic hits flat which is the type of player Fed likes. No one hits the low ball as well as Federer. Where Federer is uncomfortable is the high ball.

I think Federer is probably just a bit more afraid of Nadal psychologically. If I'm Federer I would feel a lot more confident playing against Djokovic.

Can't wait to watch the match between them, even though the result is probably 99.9% going to be Federer winning.

Give some fits, yes. But come on, Nadal hasn't beaten Fed on a fast surface since that match in Dubai 2006. It's been almost a year and a half since then, and this surface just doesn't favor Nadal. I wish they could have played because I think it would have been a good match, but Fed would have been the favorite I think.

I absolutely agree. Yeah, in general and against most opponents, Joker is a hard court beast, but his game doesn't match up well to Federer, who will beat him like a drum. Nadal, on the other hand, would have been trouble because he is STILL in Roger's head, big time. At this point, Fed's discomfort with Nadal has very little to do with Nadal's game per se. Nadal simply doesn't fear Fed, and has made him his prison punk these past couple years.

If Canas can beat Federer, then Djokovic certainly has a chance. I don't think Federer is kicking his feet up just yet.

nadal is probably happy too as their head to head will remain the same as he did not reach the final so it remains 8-5 instead of 8-6 if he did make the final........

Federer played 2 more service games and his points ratio looks little better on the paper, everything else is virtually equal

Where is the outplayed part? in your head maybe?

i voted Joker in 3, now come to think of it it will be Joker in 2;)

So Quiet on this fourm what happened to tall the "specialist" on the fact that djoke can't hurt Federer on hard and only Nads can do anything. If you can diss out your B.S. then you should be able to take it. I'm glad there is someone else taking it to Nads and Fed.
