Federer Nadal Cincinnati QF hype

Looking fairly likely now that Federer and Nadal will meet on Friday, possibly (probably?) for the last time.

Who's excited?

The two greatest champions this sport has ever seen will always be missed.

Are you joking? Last time this was going to happen, frickin' Tommy Rebredo beat Fed. I'd say Nadal's chances against Feliciano are 50/50.

No. Since then Nadal lost to fricken Raonic in IW when about to meet Fed, and then lost to Stan in Rome when about to play Fed.

2013 USopen was a long time back.

In this case though I give Anderson a chance of beating Fed, Lopez not much chance even though he did beat Nadal on grass a few years back

Well, if it actually happens, history has proven that recently there is really only one winner, regardless of the form of the two players, and regardless of the surface they meet on.

Please let this match happen. I love Fedal matches and they both have nothing to prove anymore in this sport. This match could give some great answers on both players form heading into the USO.

IF this match happens, this is the first time in a long while, I have Fed as the firm favorite. Which I would have any year in Cinci aside from 2013.
Surface matters. This is only the 2nd time ever they meet between Wimbledon and the WTF.

I for one am not so sure Rafa makes it past Lopez though, good money to be made by the gamblers (Lopez returning 4.00)

I think the Nadal knows that with chances of him ever winning another Slam dwindling, his H2H is the only (flimsy) argument the unintelligent will have, and is doing his best to protect it.
Right, because 23-11 is a whole lot better than 23-10

Lol Nadal really is a bit pathetic for running from Fed. We can't be for certain until this happens a couple more times but im pretty sure I've noticed a pattern in the last year or so...

Paradoxically he is now losing for the intellectuals at the *************.

Did anybody notice that Nadal lost to another 34 year old (Lopez to be 34 in September 2015)?
Wow, this must be the worst we've seen from him in many years.
Federer would have crushed him had he been able to advance to 1/8. Not that I don't like Nadal but it's obvious.

It's not that, it's just he doesn't want to lose to another one of his pigeons. Plus this is the 3rd time he's "lost" before meeting Federer this year. 23-13, then next it could be 23-14, 23-15. If his form continues like this it could be 23-97 by the year 2048. Better to just not even let one loss get past him.
