Beautiful grass and chalk.
Beautiful grass and chalk.
Lol, I think it was fairly clear what you meant - but yes, it came out a bit funny.Just realized how racist this sounds, the commentators only SPOKE Russian so I put them on mute because it was just a distraction. I have nothing against Russians.
Now that, is a REAL court. No fence, no nothing behind him... notice no balls behind him either... he gets to everything even at age 37!
What's goin' down in GOATville, eh?
Lovin' this joint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Doesn't seeing Roger on grass again just make you break into a spontaneous grin?
Looks similar to the Marriott Palm Desert (could be it). I go for my birthday each year. Usually there's not even the little fence. The grass is old school grass too, thick and unpredictable. Now that, is a REAL court. No fence, no nothing behind him... notice no balls behind him either... he gets to everything even at age 37!

Zverev plays LC and everyone still can't stand him.Wonder why no Djoker? And he wants people to like him...
That's because he was an even bigger tool at LC where personalities are more visible. Djoker came off well.Zverev plays LC and everyone still can't stand him.
Maybe he simply does not know how to be likeable... because he is not.He wants them to love him but he doesn't want to actually be likeable to make it happen.
---chip on his shoulder the size of a rhino
Interesting to see them all looking the same height. All of a sudden Zod's shoulders look really big. This is the Laver Cup Europe team.Great to see that Fognini will participate

Ann, have you ever worked with young people? Most of the most talented ones are pains in the butt until they get a bit older. There are, of course, exceptions. That's because he was an even bigger tool at LC where personalities are more visible. Djoker came off well.

Maybe he has not committed yet and will join later. If he decides to play, something tells me he won't exactly be told there is no place for him.So he's forced to participate otherwise that means he doesn't derserve to be liked ?

I'm surrounded by young people, I'm one of the few old-timers.Ann, have you ever worked with young people? Most of the most talented ones are pains in the butt until they get a bit older. There are, of course, exceptions.

There's also the possibility that Federer didn't invite him because he's tired of pretending he can actually stand him.Wonder why no Djoker? And he wants people to like him...

There is a reason he is not playing here, do not act like this is a small thing.

Obviously you're not going to leave a forum where you're not wanted and don't belong. On ignore.Maybe, but it wouldn't suprise me if he didn't.
The reason seeems pretty obvious to me. Federer and Djokovic clearly don't like each other. They tried to bond when he participated to this event last year and it just didn't work. The scandal revolving around Kermode's departure added fuel to the fire.
Maybe that's Federer's plan.Djoker would have a mental meltdown if he was not invited. He would lose wimbledon first round to someone like Querrey...
It is not the talent itself that is the problem, it's the attitude of self importance. Maybe there are a greater percentage of talented people that have a self-important attitude than the rest of us, particularly those kids who grow up being told they are special.Well, I find that the ones I work with who are less talented are much more pleasant to work with because they don't have big heads. I find that very talented young people need more time to sort out life, to find out what is really important over time. Also, unless you know people well you don't really know anything important about them. Some people who seem quite nice in public, who learn to play "the game of fame", turn out to be not too pleasant when you see them being the scenes.
Ditto for the wives. There's also the possibility that Federer didn't invite him because he's tired of pretending he can actually stand him.
I'd pick Gasquet for the QF I think rather than RBA.
Maybe, but it wouldn't suprise me if he didn't.

Has anyone thought that getting all of the big 3 might be too much even for Laver Cup budget? OK I don't know how much of a fee Roger takes given it's his baby, but I bet Rafa & Novak don't come cheap.i think fed tried, but you are right they were lacking chemistry. i do think they get along fine and dont hate/dislike each other they way they used to , i think people make a bigger deal out of that controversy because they met up during practice at the french and seemed to get along fine.
lol did you see the post laver cup conference where they joked about going on vacation together and who was going to pay for what, it was great. the thing is i think too much is made about these top rivals needing to bffs, they wont ever be bffs but i genuinely think they get along fine as co-workers.

Yep and also if I'm not mistaken the higher ranked you are the more you get paid. I know roger said he would love the big 4 and stan to be there since LC is in Switzerland and that's special for him but they all have to agree ofc. Either way it's fine I'm sure this year will be good even though I'm still sideyeing Fabio. I wish grigor joined I loved him last year but there are still two spots so we shall see. I'm more curious as to why we dont know of any single team world playerHas anyone thought that getting all of the big 3 might be too much even for Laver Cup budget? His/her preachy tone is annoying to say the least. Why don’t you let people like who they want and dislike who they want? Ever heard of “live and let live?” Nobody cares if you like Zverev and hate the Fog, so use the same mindset with others. Has it occurred to you that some people don’t care if “sexist” remarks are made by Fab and can like him anyway? There’s such a thing as free speech and free choice.
I avoid chuffing, hate the rash.Roger and Novak get along fine. They don’t have to be chummy exactly, they can still be respectful of each other. Besides, Fed would make changes to the Laver Cup schedule if it meant Novak would be present in the team. It’s in Geneva, Switzerland and Roger last year wanted all the big 5 if possible. If the big 3 play it might be one of the most enjoyable tournaments for me, the atmosphere would be exhilarating, I would be chuffed to bits!
I wouldn't worry about that. He spent the last month constantly S&Ving on clay, so he's certainly not about to grind himself down on the Halle grass.Halle is winnable for Federer, but I think he shouldn't spend too much energy there. Rather than engaging in long rallies, he should practice serve and volley or serve and make winner. As for Wimbledon, I would be ecstatic to see him getting to the final.
