No more brown though. He works for FedEx not UPS.I don't know the answer to this as I haven't been to their stores. But their gear seems very affordable, cheap even, compared to Nike/Adidas and of course Lacoste. This WB19 kit, for instance, is just $39.90USD per shirt or shorts vs. the $100/each average for Fedr's/Nadl's Nike stuff (yes, even for the Nadl tanks of this year ). The practice tees that Fedr wears range from $10-$20 on their website. As for general Uniqlo products, a relative of mines says that they are very comfy and affordable.
Yeah not a fan of it. Wish he would have done purple or green trim.He works for both. He's greederer, no? There is a bit of brown trimming on the sleeves and collar.

Still seems to be hints of that brown on the sleevesNo more brown though. He works for FedEx not UPS.
I'm OK with this WB19 kit, even the accents. But one of my favorite WB kits is the 2009 kit. I especially like the gold accents and the stripe pattern. This will be hard to beat:
so apparently a person whose fav is not federer, but is complimenting federer in the federer news post is a crime now?
WB19 kit, soon....
This board is different without you man.
The rule on News Threads is no trolling and @Hitman is not a troll. There is nothing preventing fans of other players posting on them. I've posted on Djokovic news if I've come across a nice photo or video that I think his fans would like and no-one's ever made it an issue.. I used to do the same on Nadal News until Octo made it plain that Fed fans were totally unwelcome. But no other Nadal fan seemed to have a problem with it.
But one of my favorite WB kits is the 2009 kit.
Love it, the man has a natural talent for it. He has to be the most business savvy tennis player (or someone really knows what they are doing in his camp, and he listens).Federer may have to be more careful with his Instagram:

I think Tony Godsick gets most of the credit for steering Roger in the right direction for his advertising income. He was the one who secured the Uniqlo, Barrelli, Mercedes, Netjets, Moet and Rolex deals. Swiss media says he's in negotiations with Nike to get a longer term shoe deal from them.Love it, the man has a natural talent for it. Hitman also posted a nice and sincere mention on the Rafa News Thread today, which was accepted with grace and good will.I really appreciate the sincerity from you and others, it means a lot, honestly though, lets not drag this out any further. I only came here to congratulate Fed, if it stings someone, it is not my concern, and I don't wish for this thread to deviate into something it shouldn't. Thanks @Fedforever
I like the short hair cut but not keen on the cut of the outfit. Looks like an accountant about to play village cricket
Love it.A man in his back garden:

I prefer longer shorts. It was only in 2013 when Nike started with the short shorts, and then took it way too far in 2015. Let's be honest, apart from AO17 (which is iconic, if he didn't win we wouldn't like it), when was the last time Nike gave Fed good outfits consistently? You'd have to go back to 2011-12 times.Exactly, it's the cut of the Uniqlo kits which bugs me. They make Roger look fat because the shorts are baggy and not form fitting, nor is the shirt. The Uniqlo clothes make him look older than he is, IMO.
Compare one to the other. The pic on right is fro FO 2015.

Do we see you on July 14th in Wimbledon with the trophy?
That would be wonderful of course. When there has been a moment in my career where I have been the most disappointed it was last year in Wimbledon. The loss against Kevin Anderson, after I already had MP. That was a horror scenario for me as Wimbledon is every year my main goal. Back then even my family had problems to cheer me up. I just went on my room, lay on the bed and thought: This is tough. But that‘s a part of it. And he played good. I had to accept it. When you miss your goal you have to question yourself – and then it even has to hurt a bit. But Wimbledon is and stays the big goal. I am well prepared and therefore I travel to Wimbledon this time with a big confidence.
Man, I said it last year, that loss to Anderson killed him. For the rest of the season he played as bad as he had since 2013. You can count on one hand his good performances after that (Nishikori, Shanghai. Medvedev, Basel. Djokovic, Paris). That's it. Even the Nishikori match is a stretch. People say injury and that could be true, but that loss was way bigger than the del Potro one. I maintain and will maintain for the rest of time - he takes that MP, he beats Isner in 3 or 4, plays Nadal who beats Djokovic outdoors and then beats Nadal in 4 sets or so.
Well, Rog has creative input/control on what he wears. Maybe that's how he wanted it lol.
tell roger to get some good night's sleep and good rest and don't practice too much. he is old and he can't get tired in 2nd week if he wants to win another Wimbledon title
That part's actually a pretty big black mark imo. The fact that the biggest tennis player on the planet still doesn't have a shoe contract a year and a half after his last one expired is a bungle of epic proportions.I think Tony Godsick gets most of the credit for steering Roger in the right direction for his advertising income. He was the one who secured the Uniqlo, Barrelli, Mercedes, Netjets, Moet and Rolex deals. Swiss media says he's in negotiations with Nike to get a longer term shoe deal from them.
Maybe the issue is in the RF logo. Does Nike get to use it on the shoe? Do they not? Is this why Uniqlo won't or can't use it? Usually these things come together. How do you know that he doesn't have a shoe contract?
Because it was reported numerous times that he's been playing without a shoe contract. How do you know that he doesn't have a shoe contract?

My guess, Fed signs a Nike shoes deal within a year and the RF logo is on it.

You really thin Fed will not have the RF logo on the Nike shoe? If it is (I assume it will be), Uniqlo could not use it, at least likely wouldn't want to.IMO, those two things have nothing to do with each other. The RF logo is a legal issue, the contract is a business/sponsorship issue. Unless both parties are behaving unprofessionally these two issues will stay separated.
Currently Nike use it on Federer's personal shoes, but is not selling anything with it, so I assume that the legal dispute is ongoing and the parties have agreed that both can profit from having it at least on Fed's shoes.
Uniqlo stated already that they are not interested in using the logo. It might be that they don't want to be associated with any developments in that legal dispute and want to keep a "clean sheet" so to speak, and not enter as a third weaker party, only because they sponsor Federer. They are smart and know that they have a lot to lose, if something goes wrong and Nike finds itself in a position to win the logo, thus finding themselves in an disadvantageous position in any negotiations. My guess is that if Federer gets it back it will appear on his personal apparel at least.
As for the shoe contract, Federer won't remain without one and isn't without one now. Such a high profile athlete doesn't need to promote for free, regardless of how long he has been with the brand. My guess is that both parties will settle their disputes and he will get a long term contract. In the unlikely event that they don't Federer will IMO switch his shoe sponsor.
I always tell myself to chill, and relax, as he has accomplished more than I could ever had hoped. After AO17 I said I would never ask for another Fed win. It's that tremendous time of the year again, ya know. It's like Christmas at the Federer wonderland. Can he be the guy again? Absolutely. Will he be the guy again? Absolutely. hahaha Only time will tell.
No, I don't assume that. The RF logo was on his black and white shoes, so I can only assume that Nike still has the permission or the right to use it. I don't see that changing going forward, if Federer stays with Nike, which he probably will. If that is the case Uniqlo might not want to "share" the logo with a competitor, but, on the other hand, if it is Fed's logo, I don't see why they wouldn't personalise his own apparel. It really is a very complicated issue, and there are multiple scenarios what could happen and how. I think that for the fans that is only tangentially interesting, as that is simply business, but, of course, it is interesting to know what will happen. Personally I think that the best use for the logo is for his Foundation and that is it.
I guess he’s not done having kids yetDuring 2009 WB, Fedr said he will play tennis 'a few' more years bc Mirka would like for their kids to see him play. That was 10 yrs ago. Fedr recently told press that he'll play 'a few' more years. Fedr to retire post 2029 confirmed?
That's is awesome. I am sure that is about the most frustrating thing ever, but the way he handles these things is amazing.Fedr and Mirka snucked into a Uniqlo store. They got caught, causing a commotion so huge, the police has to escort them to their car.... but not before giving some fans their much sought after selfies .
Yes or no. Because Limited stores have Federer items and usually sold out within a few days.Going to a Uniqlo shop in the states this summer. Has anybody ever been? Do they have actual roger gear or no?
