"Even on clay"Fedr's acting is...improving!
Amazing that he can still joke about WB19 here...

Mine wanders too much. I am just not thinking ahead at all. Not one point.Honestly, if Fed was to actually win this thing, i’d forget W19 in a flash. The reason that one hurt so much was because at Fed’s age you never know if he’ll ever get championship points at a slam again.
But he’s a long way from winning it of course. It’s just that with Djokovic out, my mind wanders ahead a bit...
In some ways, it would make this USO even sweeter than had it come at Wimbledon. Just for pure legacy purposes, many would argue that a 6th USO would be better for his legacy than a 9th Wimbledon would have been. The logic says that any Wimbledon title is better than any USO title, but a sixth trophy would break the tie he has with Jimmy and Pete and make him US Open GOAT. Something to ponder.Honestly, if Fed was to actually win this thing, i’d forget W19 in a flash.

You see that "jinx" prediction from insecure pockets of the Djokovic-Nadal fan bases. What Fed fan has said that here? If they have, I must have them on ignore. Can someone tell me who is handing Roger the trophy already? I’m not seeing it anywhere.

What was the WB19 joke ? the "up to you" parting shot ?
I thought the "how do you become a champion?" will be answered with "by converting championship points".
Something about relaxing after a 5th set tiebreaker. What was the WB19 joke ? the "up to you" parting shot ?

Yep, while I will not let my mind wander too much with positivity. I see this as "with great opportunity, comes potential failure."OK, guys, you're giving me too much hope. I just need to watch Federer with limited expectations.
Is that a joke about Fed winning a NCYGS?Been saying this for a while now. I am so glad Fed pushed Djoko to the brink for that Wimbledon trophy. It did take a lot out from Djoko. Just don’t know how much hit Fed took. So far Fed looks good.
Another USO/AO/RG/Wimbledon will do a lot of good in that specific order.
Well, if it helps, Fed beat Dimi at a night match in New York...I know its dimi but my concern is its a night match and fed clearly does not like those conditions

I worry a bit about the night conditions too. But we'll just have to trust The Old Man to do his thang. He's almost undefeated in night matches at the USO (1 loss to Berdych a few years back?), and at the least, Dimi is a known opponent to Fedr. Also, he knows this is a huge chance for another slam finals. These are the chances he still plays for and relishes.

I am going to do something very stupid, I am going to look past the Dimi match and on to the SF...You're right. I think that might've been his 2nd loss at night at Ashe in his career. Either way, it's very rare for Fedr to lose at night at USO (knocks on wood).

I hope Med and Wawa go 5 sets and 5 hours tomorrow, and then I will take a tired Wawa.
Diego is a scrappy little guy, but he has absolutely nothing with which to hurt Rafa. His serve is especially exploitable. I watched live their IW match this year and Diego was absolutely blown off the court, winning only 4 games. It's like Mike Tyson battling a 13 year old boy, and I don't mean any disrespect to Diego, it's just the truth. He's never come close to beating Rafa. While you're at it, also hope Nadl loses in the QF.
The hope for that side is a quick victory by a zoning berrettini or Monfils (not sure which one zoning would be better). Then continue that zoning against Rafa... But let's be real, the winner will have played 5 tough sets and be dead for Rafa. While you're at it, also hope Nadl loses in the QF.

See, I was not impressed by Diego today. Like @BeatlesFan said, he has literally nothing to hurt Rafa with.I understand what you're getting at, but I remember Diego won 1 set each at AO18(won set2) and RG18(won set1). True that he wasn't close to winning those matches, but I thought he could've won the AO18 match had a few BPs went his way bc the (63 67(4) 63 63, Nadal) score didn't show how close it actually was. Obviously Nadl is not Z, but still, Diego was hitting superbly against Z.

That being said, a tough 4 setter where he makes Rafa run quite a bit could happen and be beneficial for us Fed fans in the long run.
How did you think fed had a decent shot at rg but rafa the slight favorite on grass? If it helps...
I thought Fedr had a decent chance against Nadl at RG19, he lost.
I thought Nadl was the slight favorite against Fedr at W19, he lost.
I'm thinking Nadl is the slight favorite against Fedr here... he'll lose?![]()
Just get Fed to the final. Then the nerves and FBPD will be back full throttle. If he actually w...If it helps...

Hey guys!
hey tushar. Fancy seeing you here. How is the lab?Hey guys!
How did you think fed had a decent shot at rg but rafa the slight favorite on grass?
She is doing great..She is turning out to be Fed fan..I have decided to cut back on her food if she doesn't go back to wagging her tail when Rafa plays..hey tushar. Fancy seeing you here. How is the lab?
I like when Fed plays top players going into Finals. Such will be the case whether Med or Wawa.On their forms going into their Fedal clashes.
I thought Fedr's form was slightly better than Nadl's at RG19 after seeing his play against Stan. But bc it's clay, I only gave Fedr a decent chance to win, and not the favorite. The sandstorm ruined any chance of that bc of their game styles.
I thought Nadl looked slightly better than Fedr at WB19 before they met.
And here at USO19, their forms are similar after 4R, but the conditions favor Nadl on top of the weaker draw.

He is a nice dude, so hopefully he will do the right thing tomorrow.Dimi is a nice dood, but it'd be nice if Fedr just blow him off the court like he did Goffin. Dimi's still a nice dood even then!![]()
It’s ridiculous. I hate to say it but I’m not sure I wang Roger to get to the final. If it’s a ”dream final” and he loses I’m done with this sport forever. You see that "jinx" prediction from insecure pockets of the Djokovic-Nadal fan bases. What Fed fan has said that here?
