any actual fed news to report?
I want a USO semi Fedal now.
And Fed to win epically.
I also want a USO semi Thiemovic.
And Djoker to win epically.
And then I want an epic Fedovic final.
Please, no epic semifinals for Fed before an epic final.I want a USO semi Fedal now.

I'd rather see him break the trend of getting to 6/6 in the first set. At least 7/5, take the first set, then run with it. He's best as a frontrunner. There is always a huge advantage to the man who wins the first set.Ok. I am over Fed’s epic loss now. My mind is finally clear. It took 3 days of grinding away at work to get this loss out of my mind . My takeaway from 2019 Wimbledon is that Fed is in pretty decent form for a guy that turns 38 in a few weeks. He scored 9 more points than Nadal and 14 more points than Djoker(7-3 edge in service breaks over Djoker is amazing).
Hopefully, Fed can reverse this trend of losing tiebreakers to Djokovic, since Fed has now lost 5 straight tiebreakers to him.
Barring extreme heat and humidity, I think Fed can make it to the semis at the USO. He’s playing quite well.
It’s great to see Federer playing well. His game is by far the most exquisite on the tour.
Let’s bring on Cinci. I am ready. Go Fed!
I don’t know what I want, but I want it now.I want a USO semi Fedal now.

Few of you may already be aware... but just an FYI for those who are not:
The world's leading dictionaries have updated their entries to reflect today's realities.
Is this for real? You didn’t photoshop it? Geez how do Nadal and Djoker fan cope if they see this? Fans, media, sponsors and the entire tennis establishment should have abandoned Fed by now.
I do wonder if nadal or Djokovic do end up passing fed on grand slams, would federer still be such a widely acclaimed goat and overall sports personality, or not, particularly amongst the next generationEveryone knows Mr. Tennis:

Will you ever make a compilation of Fed's lost matches where he hold MPs?Roger Federer - 2 GOAT Shots from Wimbledon 2019

I thought the concept would be great. One could also add other tight matches (W08, AO09, USO09 and etc) and Linkin Park - In the End in the background.I will never ever watch the Wimbledon 2019 final again. I won't touch it. I just can't. Sorry.
In comparison suddenly uso09 does not seem so bad in terms of missed chances and first 4 sets of AO 2009 are good. I dont mess with Wimbledon 2008, that match still hurts and I will forever say that Match was drama over quality, fed was lucky to push it to a 5th and it should have been called for darknessI thought the concept would be great. Yeah because no one remembers a player if they don't have the slam count. The slam count is the only thing that matters. I mean DAMN I see Margaret Court is GOD tweets every day on twitter.I do wonder if nadal or Djokovic do end up passing fed on grand slams, would federer still be such a widely acclaimed goat and overall sports personality, or not, particularly amongst the next generation

Well I didn’t mean forget. I just meant that would he still be as widely celebrated. He’s One of most popular and marketable athletes in the world. Ask anyone about tennis and chances are, they’ll mention federer. Novak seems to be set to pass the weeks at number 1 record and if he were to pass the slam record as well, would some of the general public switch to the Djokovic bandwagon, as most are probably glory hunters, particularly after this recent final, which a lot of people on social media are claiming to be one of the greatest matches they’ve seen.No one will forget Fed, there's a reason the guy has such massive fan support even compared to his rivals/other stars.
However in terms of style of play IMO Fed will have minimal influence on the next generation. His game formed in an era where you still had a variety of conditions in tennis and then he had to adapt more and more to gradual slow down of the surfaces. His game is a mix of old and new and as such not seen as optimal for the modern game.
You can already see how the current young gen copied Novak with often hilarious results as they lack his athleticism and have a different build. Just look at Zverev for example.

Agreed. The scenario is somewhat odd as they are bound to finish their careers in very close years. Even if one of the other two finishes ahead of Federer in the stats, he won't be able to build up a NEW following out of it during the rest of his career, and the general public will move on to the actual players. Who are those that will change the current status quo? I don't see them. The glory hunters tend to not live in the past, but cling to those that bring the benefits immediately, which won't happen by referring to the old generations.
Yes it does. Right now in Dubai It’s 98F with a dewpoint of 83F which produces a heat index of 124F. Basically you can’t be outside. Players who have trained with Roger in Dubai have told stories of ringing the water out of their shoes because it’s so humid. I don’t think it’s that bad in December but Roger has trained there in the summer in the past. If he doesn’t now it’s probably more because his kids are older and have more activities going on back home.Federer has his training block in Dubai in December, not in preparation for the USO in August/September. And Dubai doesn't have humidity issues.
Fed has not done a training block ever in Dubai in the months of June-September.Roger has trained there in the summer in the past. If he doesn’t now it’s probably more because his kids are older and have more activities going on back home.

If he can win Miami he can win the USO.
Very different weather conditions though.
Fed had to go on oxygen after the Millman loss last year.
Another Trollsky to put on ignore.
Buh-bye, Fool.
James Blake kept it cool.It didn't look very taxing at Miami this year...
So far away still. I'm desperate to get this taste of Wimbledon out of my mouth, but it's going to linger until he hits the court again. Can't wait for Cincy
Yeah, I hear you.So far away still. I'm desperate to get this taste of Wimbledon out of my mouth, but it's going to linger until he hits the court again.

It's been impossible for me to not think about it while sitting in relative silence at work staring into spreadsheets with nothing to distract me.Yeah, I hear you.
I've mostly forgotten about Wimbledon but at random moments my mind goes back to it and my heart sinks a bit.
That is probably true because he’s usually playing during those months. But you said Dubai doesn’t have humidity issues. It absolutely does. And I remember a practice partner of Roger’s once saying they had to take breaks so he could wring the water out of his shoes. I’ll try and find the link. I think Roger has also said training in Dubai prepares him for the US summer (it can be very humid in Cincy). But obviously no one is going to be practicing when it’s that humid and the heat index is in the triple digits.Fed has not done a training block ever in Dubai in the months of June-September.
Fed is not playing Montreal, he addressed this in his post-Wimbledon presser:According to the ATP site he's playing the week before that in Montreal starting August 5th.. granted he hasn't won it since 2006... and then on to Cincinnati. Or did you guys hear that he has pulled out of the Coupe Rogers?
Thanks, I don't watch pressers. They bore the snot out of me.Fed is not playing Montreal, he addressed this in his post-Wimbledon presser:
“Looking ahead, we had decided in the team that I was to skip Montreal a week ago to give my self enough time. I wish I had more (time) but I don’t so i’m just going to take enough time off when I can and then prepare for Cincinnati."
Yeah, thankfully I've managed to keep myself busy and my mind on other things for the most part to get over it quickly. It's been impossible for me to not think about it while sitting in relative silence at work staring into spreadsheets with nothing to distract me.
Wonder why that was deleted? Was it too toxic? We're the most loyal fan base by far, Fedfam.
I'd like to give a shout out to whomever got the Loyal Fan Base thread deleted.
Was an interesting conversation.
