Everything I’m hearing is that these are NOT durable, so mine are staying off the court until I can snag another pair.
Yeah it doesn’t sound promising. Maybe after this, On may release a more general tennis shoe for the public with better durability and a bit of a lower price.

Worst news one could have said.… same problem here…i hated vapor x due to the “inward tilt”. Loved asics speed ff 2 and court ff2 because had more cushioning and no inward tilt…

I am so glad to hear someone else mention the inward tilt of the Nike Vapor X. I blame it for bringing on knee problems. I swore Nike off with that shoe. They further cemented that swear with their relationship with CK.

The new Nike line of tennis shoes suck

Amen.

I got home from vacation today to find a box sitting at my front door. It was my pair of On Roger's size 9.5. I wore them around the house today and they felt great. I'm playing tomorrow and will wear them. Pending weather, we'll be on clay. If it rains, we'll be on indoor hard. I'm very much looking forward to them.

They really don't have the right sole for clay and overall will get trashed on Clay due to mesh

I disagree. We’ll see.
Clay outsoles are usually very fine herringbone and also should have the tread also added in the area where the carbon is on these. These are very obviously for hard court with lot of rubber for traction and look like a slipping machine for clay.

Also cannot fathom someone wearing these on clay. To begin with, you're ruining the clean mesh upper right from the get go. But mainly, oy vey the sole.

I just looked up pics of Federer Clay version of these in French and Geneva and they had a different non mesh upper and the sole on the bottom was replaced with herringbone and extra tread where speedboard is.

@volleynets I am well aware of what a clay court sole looks like as I am coming off wearing the Diadora Blue Shield 5 with a clay court sole. However, yesterday I played in the On Roger's. They did very well on the clay and I had zero problems with traction. Let me say that these shoes are by far the most comfortable tennis shoes I've ever put on (right out of the box). They are super ventilated and have the best bend point for my feet of any shoe. They require no break in. Unless something changes, I'll be happy as a pig in mud to spend $200 on these as my feet felt fantastic after 2 hours on clay in 90 degree heat and 92 percent humidity. I'll even buy a pair of their casual shoes because they are supposed to feel even better if the reports I hear from others are true.

And.....Kith is sold out! On's website says the shoes will return in September.

I own On cloud for running/walking/casual and on cloudnova for fashion/walking/casual. They're so comfy I never go back to the ultra boost I used to wear for walking/running. Plus I like how techy they feel as I'm into tech of all sort.

Kith was sold out while back except for one or two crazy tiny sizes. Glad they worked out on Clay. I doubt fed would use this sole and upper there but also none of us move like him so can get away without proper sole.

@volleynets I can report also that my wife is exceeding happy with the non clay court sole. Despite my best efforts, clay seems to get tracked through the house when wearing the Diadora's. :)
