i heard federer five set record is 13-10 or something like that plus he has never managed to win a five set match after loosing the first two sets.

BS, plus he played most of his 5 set matches before 2004 I think. Since 2004, I can only remember him losing to Nadal at Wimbledon 2008, Rome 2006 and Australian Open 2009. He has wins against Tipsarevic (AO08), Berdych (AO09), Andreev(USO08), Nadal (Miami, Wimbledon 07), Haas (RG09), Roddick (W09), (Del Potro RG09). His record especially in 2008 and 2009 is actually very good. In his absolute prime, nobody was good enough to put him to five sets really.

He also lost in 5 to Nalbandian in the 2005 TMC final.

16-12 is a good 5 set record...I remember it being 9-10 back in 2006 (AKAs Federer's best year) and since then it's been 7-2.

A lot of top guys have poor 5 set records because they don't play a lot of them...Nadal is the exception, though I don't know exactly what his 5 set record is.

I think it's 12-3, but I could be wrong. Borg's was 24-4.

Yeah...I know Fed has beaten him in two 5 setters, but I can't think of any other times off the top of my head.

24-4 is just ridiculous, but that's Borg for you. That guy could outlast anyone. Also, back in that day those guys played a lot more best of 5 set matches...It really rewarded the guys with good fitness, which is no doubt why Borg shined so much there.

It makes sense to me that he wouldn't have a good 5-set record, because when he was in his prime he almost never played 5-set matches. That's what happens when you dominate.

I heard he beat Haas at RG 09 after loOsing first two sets. But I also heard that Haas and Berdych are big time chokers.
