Federer Practices for 3 hours In Sony Ericsson-Miami

Roger had a monster practice session on Sunday on the Stadium court at the Sony Ericsson. He practiced for over an hour with a fellow countryman and then played what seemed like 2 sets against junior Jack Sock.Im sure it was a very special day for Sock and his mom who was taking pictures of her son courtside.I have seen Roger practice quite a bit the last 3 years in Miami, but this was by far the hardest and longest I have seen him practice. He was simply having a blast singing ,joking around and having fun.Afterwards he signed autographs and took pictures with the few fans that were in the stadium. It was a very cool day for the fans and kids that were in attendance.Wether your a fan or not of the guy,he is a class act and no other player is better with the kids and more of a true proffesional than Federer.

I guess he's taking it more seriously this time. They were reports he only practiced for 15mins during one of the days in Indian Wells, the junior partner at the time was told he would be hitting with Roger for an hour at least. I imagine he wasn't too disappointed either way, 15 mins with Roger was still priceless ;)

Thanks for the report. Did you know that there's supposed to be two spaces after a period? Nothing mean intended here, but you're a good writer and I thought this tip might help.

Love hearing about this stuff. He is OUR GOAT! Fed loves Tennis. The sport and its history.
What an arrogant narccissist!
Gosh I really hope he does well in Miami, Madrid and the French.
;-)

Makes sense. The conditions are quite different coming from IW. Good to take extra time to get acclimated.

At IW he practiced at a resort in La Quinta (including with Sampras) and skipped going to the IW grounds for the first few days at least. He practiced on the first Sunday at IW.

Yeah, but then again the OP didn't put any spaces after punctuation. One space would make it look better, but yeah, doesn't really matter on the internet.

Pretty sure that rule has gone the way of the dodo, my friend...

Not quite. One space if you're using a proportionally spaced font, two spaces if you're using a fixed space font but very few progs default to the old typewriter fixed spaced font these days :)

Nice to hear some first-hand news about Federer.

Are you going to watch a lot of matches in Miami this week?
Yes, I went a little crazy this year started going since Friday and will go the full 2 weeks except the final weekend.Unless you have great seats too hot in the upper level, will watch indoors.

Roger's usually great with fans. At Cincy in 2009 people were asking him for his hat and sweat bands after practice. And Fed replied, "Anyone want my watch?" My younger son then said "No, how about your plane instead?" And Rog said "Sure."

Very, very good to hear that he's putting in the hard work. He needs to after that lung infection. I'm glad he lost early in IW to put it in his face.

rofl^^

roughly translated: a street, lot's of trees, yes that's an avenue (=allee)

because football fans, also in germany, are singing "allez!" which is french for "ahead" like "come on". and yeah, some are mocking them to use this french expression. and since it sounds exactly like the word allee = avenue in german, there we go :D
usually something you sing along when you're drunk^^
