Federer promotes Rafa Nadal Academy

Roger has deep pockets he can afford to send all his 4 children there.
That was just a P.R. quote and a friendly nod to Rafa. Fed is scarcely ever separated from his kids and would not send them 1,000 kms away to train. He said in 2020 that his girls play once in a while and the boys not at all, so none are going to become tennis pros.

Anyway, the entire quote shows he meant one week. Fed said: "I really hope one day I could send my kids there and then pick them up a week later and ask them so how was it, we don’t want to go back.”

Federer should send them there for character building. They have an American School as well and they don’t all take up professional tennis,

You did not post the entire quote. You skipped the end of it (the bolded part): "... we don’t want to go back, it was too hard for us."
Skipping that end of the quote totally changes the meaning of the qoute! :D

Is it that amazing that a great tennis player would want to send his kids for a week to one if the best tennis academies in the world where he has a good relationship with the owner? Not really. It’s quite normal.
