Legally, Nike can’t because Federer has the rights to his logo.Nike are so stupid. They could still be selling those things and making a mint.

If Federer were American you would understand, it would make sense to give him that recognition and status.I understand. I meant that it's stupid that they let him go. He should have got the lifetime deal.

Furthermore, tennis is not among the main sports in that country to give him such a contractual agreement.

MAGA hats made in China, oh the ironyAliExpress has a nice brown colour for $AU9.
They have black, white and brown. Will be $US10.
It's not copyright RF is Radio Frequency.
They got a bulls hat as well.
Get both, plus MAGA and save on postage.
The fans don’t know what Federer was looking for in terms of a deal with Nike. The fans always think that Federer was for recognition and status with some lifetime contact that sounds like a fan issue. I think fan values don’t line up with Federer’s values. If Federer were American you would understand, it would make sense to give him that recognition and status.

From what I’ve heard from people familiar with the situation, Nike put their 150 on the table, then Uniqlo put their 300 on the table and Roger took the latter without Nike having the turn to place another offerFederer wasn’t getting any deal from Nike, so he moved on.
Yeah, this doesn’t sound made up at all. Federer robbed fans on this forum of their recognition and status, so stories are being made up. There was no deal made by Nike, so Tony got him the deal with Uniqlo and the terms were never disclosed. The logo is owned by Federer, so fans are upset because he doesn’t use it and are looking for made up reasons. Federer still wears the RF cap for himself as seen in the video playing golf. From what I’ve heard from people familiar with the situation, Nike put their 150 on the table, then Uniqlo put their 300 on the table and Roger took the latter without Nike having the turn to place another offer
Wow buddy really got me dead to rights there. I notoriously make up fake stories to denigrate Federer, it’s a pastime of mine.Yeah, this doesn’t sound made up at all. The grapevine story still sounds made up and veracity of not caring is too. This forum would make up anything for clicks or site traffic.Wow buddy really got me dead to rights there. I notoriously make up fake stories to denigrate Federer, it’s a pastime of mine.
I never claimed the veracity of the story was 100%. As I disclosed, it’s simply what I’ve heard from people familiar with the situation through a decades long relationship with the same higher up Nike rep that worked with Federer in the past (still at Nike now). There is a lot of heard through the grapevine discussion in the tennis world. I’m not upset and making stories about the RF rights because I have a hat already and frankly couldn’t care less.

In Federer’s case, it DOES sound made up because no one knows if this is true in HIS case. IF this was the case with him, Federer wouldn’t made that little video a while back where he surprised fans with new RF caps. The video featured Federer showing the caps in different colors, then his surprised face.It doesn't sound made up. Corporations make offers all the time which are conditioned on the offer then not being shopped around or leveraged. The Los Angeles Dodgers made Yoshibobu Yamamoto a 325 million dollar offer on the condition that he would not then shop it to other teams.

I’m a fiction exposer.
More fiction. Why is feasible because Federer is not using the RF logo in the WAY fans were hoping for?You said a lot of nonsense. It's entirely feasible that Uniqlo didn't allow Federer to shop their offer.

Question: Why Federer fight to get logo back from Nike only not to use it?Not a coherent question
Question: Why Federer fight to get logo back from Nike only not to use it?
Answer from this forum: It must be Uniqlo.
Fed wanted to get the lifetime deal with Nike, but the latter didn't agree.I understand. I meant that it's stupid that they let him go. He should have got the lifetime deal.
More fiction. There is no evidence that Federer was looking for anything from Nike other than a contract extension. Unfortunately for you, Federer is doing just fine. Nice clickbait article though.Fed wanted to get the lifetime deal with Nike, but the latter didn't agree.
Fed's contract with Nike expired in March 2018 and it wasn't renewed because Nike didn't agree to continue paying him after his retirement. Uniqlo agreed.

Everything being said on this forum about any deals concerning Federer is pure speculation because no details were disclosed. That has absolutely nothing to do with what I've been saying
I'm sure they don't.I think they regret it now.
Both parties are fine, but fans and haters that’s a different story.I'm sure they don't.
I highly doubt Fed was going to sell $300 million worth of hats in retirement. Nike would've been crazy to match that deal.I think they regret it now.
You should have read the article I posted, not only its title.More fiction. There is no evidence that Federer was looking for anything from Nike other than a contract extension. Unfortunately for you, Federer is doing just fine. Nice clickbait article though.
You should try to stick to the facts, instead of creating imaginary stories. Both parties are fine, but fans and haters that’s a different story.
CLICKBAIT ALL OF IT TITLE AND BODY. Federer has moved on but FANS and HATERS have not.You should have read the article I posted, not only its title.

Its not about the hats, it’s about the ego of fans.I highly doubt Fed was going to sell $300 million worth of hats in retirement. Nike would've been crazy to match that deal.
Yep, Fed fans looking for his caps/hats (the title&topic of this thread) here should move on to the Former Pro Player Talk forum.CLICKBAIT ALL OF IT TITLE AND BODY. Federer has moved on but FANS and HATERS have not.
Yeah I just really have a vested interest in pointlessly bull******* about my favorite player you’re right. Getting so many clicks it’s helping me find my existential self-worth, thanks for fueling itThe grapevine story still sounds made up and veracity of not caring is too. I bought 20 Uniqlo RF hats when they were on sale for $19.90 on Uniqlo website. I am going to save them for my grand childrenI was lucky enough to find a beautiful RF t-shirt at a thrift store.
It’s a worse fit than the Nike one. Too big and worse qualityIf it is the same Nike hat without the logo, why does it make a difference?
Uniqlo hat with RF logo does not come with dri-fit and quality is not that good eitherIt’s a worse fit than the Nike one. Too big and worse quality
The quality control is wild, too. I bought 5 hats total (all different colors), and could only keep one. The other four were too shallow and felt like I was wearing a child’s hat.Uniqlo hat with RF logo does not come with dri-fit and quality is not that good either. Good enough to wear for less than one year.
They don't have anything with RF logo. No T's, caps, nothing. While I do think their sweats and a jacket of theirs I have are top-notch, they are a RF marketing disaster from Day One.Even with Uniqlo though, do they even have stock?
