I got your point the first time. What I am hinting at is that Federer's outfits while not the best out there, are far from bad, and some are exceptionally good. That is why I asked you to point at some "modern retro" outfits done right according to you, as I am interested in what you consider successful.
I despise the AW connection as much as the next guy, and I also know that Federer is not exactly a style behemoth, as seen by his atrocious suits and dress shoes, but the conservative part of his taste is nothing to be ashamed of, and that one shines through most of his current outfits (whether he is instrumental in designing them I don't know, but I really doubt it. The most I envisage him doing is picking colours (which for the most part are very successful in his Uniqlo lines) or being asked which detail he likes more. I don't see him being involved in "designing" his outfits).
