Federer to miss this year's Laver Cup

I like the concept of a Ryder Cup like tennis tournament. What I don't like is the conflict of interest it brings: Fed's agency (Fed, Godsick) are co-organizers of this event and the criteria to issue invitations for players is not transparent at all.
The Ryder Cup is real and the Laver Cup is the same as the WWE, it’s made for TV entertainment.

I agree the Laver Cup in its current format is more of an exho. I rather prefer the ATP /ITF organizes this with clear guidelines on how a player can qualify. It is not good as to why the two teams are Team Europe vs Team Rest of World. There is no reason why Europe enjoys a special status.

Honestly, I’m now considering going. Big 3 out means casuals won’t be propping up the resale ticket prices. If that meant I could get seats close to court, then this basically would be equivalent to watching these guys at court level on an outside court at USO, which is an excellent deal. I saw Berrettini at USO 2019 on one of these courts and it was great.

The choose the top ranked players from each team. In case they refuse the next higher ranked player is given the chance

How do you know Fed's being arrogant? What if he is recovering from surgery and in crutches? What if Fed is physically unable to cope with travel given his current health? Pause and think first before you post. Logic 101.
He's just sh*t stirring, it's his thing.

Wow, I thought he'd at least sit on the bench to cheer on Team Europe. Ticket sales will be anemic.

“I’m really disappointed to be missing this year’s Laver Cup,” Federer said. “Team Europe has an incredible line-up though and I wish them all the very best as they go for their fourth Laver Cup."
It's funny how he says Team Europe has an incredible line-up as if to make up for it when his inclusion of this line shows he himself is aware how much of an impact his absence will have

If(Nadal participates in Laver Cup=FALSE, "I'm glad Rafa won't participate in this Fed's event.", "Nadal is actually going to participate because he is a true ambassador for the sport.")
First let Nadal nourish his foot injury then he can play on tour.

I mean team europe are consistently high ranked players

Team world is always the shady one lol

Paire beat Team World's Shapovalov and Isner back to back this week so far, tomorrow he plays Team Europe's Rublev...
