I've read a thread on here which says Wimbledon is a doubt, which would mean Halle is also a doubt.I heard he is supposed to play Halle as first tournament back.. If things go well then Wimbledon.
This might explain if he comes back and is still reaching slam semis/finals in his mid 40's. Biology should dictate that you should not be doing that well at such an old age.
Yeah but you forget that Fed actually declined less due to his game style. It’s the reason why post 30 year old Fed did better than Peak Fed against Nadal. This right here is the hypocrisy between how Fed is treated versus how Djokovic is.
Federer had to make huge changes to his game to stay competitive post 32/33 and a lot of posters constantly made thinly veiled posts/threads about him being on something
Djokovic outgrinds players 12 years younger than him in BO5.....on clay......and openly boasts about how he tries to make the match physical so that he gets an edge but he is hailed as a hero who has worked hard to stay fit etc. etc.
It is though. Fed lost Halle to FAA got trashed by Hubert at Wimbledon. Not that ridiculous when mid 30s players have been dominating the sport for the last few years.
I never understand why people just can't Google any of this info. It takes a matter of seconds. Fed is not playing either Halle or Wimbledon. When he says "extremely doubtful" that means "no."I've read a thread on here which says Wimbledon is a doubt, which would mean Halle is also a doubt.
He just tried that this year.I don't think so. I think he is clearly preparing for one last wombledon, & maybe his home Swiss tournie, as a goodbye. There's clearly zero motivation to vulture for points, etc. I honestly think he's preparing for a graceful farewell.
Yeah it’s definitely a goodbye run as he surely can’t be thinking of winning GS or even coming back week in week out.I don't think so. I think he is clearly preparing for one last wombledon, & maybe his home Swiss tournie, as a goodbye. There's clearly zero motivation to vulture for points, etc. I honestly think he's preparing for a graceful farewell.
Yeah. It tires me more than side to side baselining for some reason.Rushing the net requires a ton of athleticism.
At the very least, he needs his serve to be in absolute top shape to make an impact.
Federer has only played this year 5 tournaments and is 79 on the race with 630 points earned. Murray has played 16 tournaments and is 96 on the race with 521 points.Andy has shown that challenging some of the top youngsters is possible and for him continuing his career is obviously worth it,
