todas federes wore a black vapor (with the date of kobe´s last game)....but i want that black CLAY version of the vapor - without the date of kobe.

Here's a pic not all that great but you can see the date on the shoe. And yeah it looks very similar to the 2012 LE shoe. I was told that the shoe is a player exclusive.

There will be other Nike athletes doing this. The whole thing is just a cross-platform inter-sport marketing ploy by Nike.

Off-topic, but that Federer kit in absolutely incredible.

if you search "mamba day" on Nike.com, you will find a lot of shoes set to those colors on the customize page. I'm sure you could customize the Vapor 9 to have those same colors without the date!

Correct. Nike will not be releasing any of the Kobe tennis product as far as we know.

It's so cool to see Rafa's shoe in detail like this. If you look closely you can see the blacked out "bull" logo where the date is. And the material here is unlike anything available on current Lunar Ballistecs. Also, extra long tongue and of course Rafa's peculiar lacing system that doesn't conform to the consumer shoe either. Very interesting to me.
