Federer vs Blake: Paris QF

Blake managed to finally beat Federer in the Olympics, after 8 consecutive loses. Will he be able to repeat the same here?

It is interesting that all their matches so far were on harcourts.

Blake looked pretty good the little bit of the Kohlschreiber match that I saw. Forehand was at 100%. I think Fed takes it straights though.

This court is not fast enough for Blake. The slower court is better for Federer so I would be really surprised if Blake wins this time.

Who would have thought that if Federer would beat Blake and get to the semis he would have his best result ever in Bercy.Getting to the quarters was his personal best so obviously he wants to improve on that.

I was only going by what he said in his interview after his 3rd round match. And Blake did beat him in their last meeting, just like I think would be the same picture when he plays Roddick.

OFF COURT - ROGER UNABLE TO PLAY

Dear Fans,

Due to a stiff back, I have decided to pull out of my match against James Blake tonight. My back has been stiff for the last couple of days and I woke up this morning and it did not respond to the treatment I had last night. As a precaution and because I would be unable to play at 100% tonight, I have unfortunately had to take the difficult decision not to play. I thank the tournament and French fans for their understanding and support.

If he has some problems i think this is a smart move.Why risk to make things worse considering the Masters Cup is in one week.
I don`t remember when was the last time or if ever Federer quit during a tournament so this thing is pretty serious.
