true. but only nadal seems to have that power over him.tennisfreak said:I think his matches with Nadal shows that when someone actually challenges him... a rare occurence, Fed can go away.

well, he's lucky that davydenko had a five-setter today. it all depends on how long that match goes.ACE of Hearts said:After seeing him tonight, if he escapes this match, there is no way he is winning the U.S Open, even against Roddick, but he is wasting tons of energy in this match!!!

Ya but usually if you win the fourth, it means that the momentum is on your side. I dont think Blake has ever had that luxury.jjk20 said:What's the difference? If he's never won a 5 set match, he's obviously lost a 5 set match, even if he did win the 4th.

well, the second set took all of 22 minutes. and they're reaching the 2 and 1/2 hour mark. you could just say this was a long three-setter.ACE of Hearts said:Federer is gonna be dead tired going into the final if he beats Davydenko, he didnt do himself a favor by going 4 sets!!!!

I don't know about that.. with all the clay court play he had, I think he's proven his conditioning isn't a problem. He should take Davy out in 3-4, and be fine for Sunday. Unless Davy has been hiding something this entire time/Federer gets injuredACE of Hearts said:Federer is gonna be dead tired going into the final if he beats Davydenko, he didnt do himself a favor by going 4 sets!!!!
Ya, but if he lost all of those 5 set matches after losing the fourth, then maybe all he needed was the momentum. I don't have the info to find this out though. The only Blake 5 setters I remember were against Agassi and Mirnyi.jjk20 said:Ok, I kinda get what you're saying. But I think for Blake, it doesn't matter if he has momentum, because being 0-9 in 5 setters will weigh heavily enough on his mind, regardless of momentum.

Nope, definitely not tonight.jjk20 said:well I don't think we're gonna get the answer to this question tonight......
