Federer vs. Hewitt carreer singles record

I was lookin at the ATP website today and noticed that in federer's profile his singles carreer record is: 330-117 and then i was also lookin at Hewitt's and his was: 375-112. I found this to be very interesting, do any of you?

EDIT: I meant to put this in there as well, they both turned pro in the same year as well, 1998, i thought that the year they turned pro could have caused the discrepency, but apparently not.

Chris.

I guess.

It's not really surprising. Hewitt sort of came onto the scene fully formed. He has a relatively simply playing style that was pretty much already developed when he was 16. Effective, yes, but simple nonetheless.

Federer, on the other hand, has a game that takes longer to develop. He's got so many different weapons that only in the past year has he figured out a way to use them wisely. In two years those numbers will be way more in Roger's favor.

I don't find it surprising or interesting. It just shows Federer's game matured later than Hewitt's, which is very normal that serve and volleyer and all-courter take longer to mature.
