I grew up watching all top players winning with one handed backhands. I also played, and prefer one handed backhands but I see no top young players capable of winning big matches with a one handed backhands today. I thought Tsitsipas was going to be the one, but he seems not to have a good enough one handed backhand, or perhaps in today's game, one has to have a good two backhand in order to win slams or masters titles.

What about Wawrinka?
Stan is an exceptionally strong tennis player, who has an exceptionally powerful on handed backhand. Unfortunately, it seems that younger players today are bigger and stronger than players in Stan's peak years. I hope I am wrong, but it will be very difficult for a one handed backhand player in the near future, or even today.

Only person that has a chance now is Tsitsipas, and it’s very slim at

just think, there’s a 100% chance someone with a 2HBH will win a slam in the future, while there’s literally a 5% chance someone with a 1HBH will win one. For probably ever.

Just goes to show how much of a GOAT Federer was. He was playing with a disability his whole career

Zverev chocking made thiem the better player that day
Although Thiem owns an 8-3 h2h over zverev and never lost to him at slams. Further thiem was the only one challenging the big two at slams for a period of time. He's like 2-2 at slams against Novak, and in fact should have beaten him at the ao from 2 to 1 sets, but Novak made his usual comeback win, as he often does against so many players.
