Federer will cry no more

Semi-Pro
One of the first things that Fed said after the FO win was how he felt the monkey was off his back and how he could play pressure free, the rest of his career.

Given his new found confidence and the problems Nadal is having, Fed's domination may continue for a while.

He is at a point in his career where nothing will bother him a whole lot and he can play with reckless abandon. All signs point to more exciting tennis ahead. After getting over the emotional hump of the FO, i think Roger is a new man....he will cry no more.

Just because the pressure is off doesn't mean that winning or losing means any less. He'll still be as emotional as ever.

I think he will still shed tears of joy as he continues to win slams and tears of sorrow when he loses. It will be interesting to see how many more slams he can pick up though.

I agree, and thats not a bad thing either. I mean what would you rather some robotic human machine with no emotions winning or losing? How boring would that be?

yeah but federer cried when he lost at the 2009 AO Final (not FO), a title which he had won many times before, so he did not cry then because he thought he had pressure win that title.

Yeah but most players would smile instead of cry after a big win -- even wta players.

Yeah but most players aren't making history with their GS victories...

I mean I agree he is more emotional than most, but thats what makes him so special...His passion & desire is one of the reasons I am a big Fed fan...

I think it just shows how much passion he has for the game. Outwardly showing his emotions for wins and losses I would think is his way of showing that "hey, I'm not just here to grab a cheque for another week's work".

As much as I idolized Borg for his temperment and icy cool demeaner, it's nice to see players opening up.

Now, when I look back, I see that moment when he smashed his racket on the ground in Djoker match was a turning point.

He let all the anger and frustration out, rather than keeping it and accumulating inside.

Nothing wrong with show of emotion in big moments. If he cries, cool. If he doesnt, cool. This is who he is, and he is very comfortable with it.

I was thinking the same thing, he did all the "bad things" that he didn't allow himself to do and let out the accumulated frustration and tension. Smashed a racquet and refused to shake the umpire's hand. Giving people the false impression that roger federer has lost it. and then when all guards were down....

yep. I would not mind crying like Federer and winning all those big titles -- Winning and making history are what counts :)

I don't mind Fed(or any proffesional athletes)crying,he's always been this way,very emotional.

he'll keep crying because he'll keep on winning,, he's a crier ... it just relieves all that built up stress...

theyre going to do a random drug screening and draw feds name out of a hat and they will find out hes been juicing since middle school and strip all of his wins

He'll cry if he loses to Nadal in the final of a major again. That would make it 2-6.

What if it becomes 3-5?
Do you think some fed haters on this board will cry?
Do you think Nadal will get un-exhausted to make either 3-5 or 2-6 possible?
