Guarantee you He has NOT got a shoe deal with Nike. That's why we saw him wearing out of date shoes a few days back.

Say whatever you want, I have to get it (or at least give it a try) :) :) :)

PS: Even though it feels weird, it looks allright. Curious to see what they will have in store for the US Open etc.

He even arrived and practiced in Nike clothing. Very minimal logo leisure Nike (maybe the RF essentials line? )

Real shocker when the red Uniqlo logo appeared.

Uniqlo have pretty good tech fabrics. Certainly I’ve never bought a bad item of clothing there. Even the active wear hoodies/t shirts

I think some modifications will have to be changed. Logo on the side of the bandana needs to be changed to the middle of the forehead. And the tie in the back is too long. I'm sure Uniqlo will work with Roger to modify things to his liking.

So you think Uniqlo is actually interested in making tennis clothes? Up til now it’s only been a minor side business. They’ve used athletes as brand ambassadors to get their name out.

Greederer. Guy who gets $500 haircuts and wears $10,000 suits peddling $25 business casual dress shirts (which are nice) - LOL!

Can someone please post a picture here of him in his Uniqlo kit on center court. I wanna see if its Nishikori like bandana with side logos or not...

Greederer.
They couldn't care less about tennis/golf apparel. That showed from Novak and Nishi.

They want him as a brand ambassador.

If he got it is 30m a year......good on him.

But to be honest, I don't think he got that much........half of that, per year for 10 years.

Who even sells Uniqlo?
They are slowly opening stores in the US. But to sell affordable dress/casual clothes. In my experiences the stores that do have Nishikori/Joker stuff only have a tiny area - you could easily miss it. And don’t have every shirt/shorts available.

I know. But a guy who lives in the stratosphere as a believable spokesperson - good luck. Guy gets into a Mercedes wearing a Rolex.... and $25 casual dress shirt - hahaha!

So what? I don't care how much he pays for his hair cut, his suits or whatever. If he's fine with it, be it. He does enough good things with his charity and he earned his wealth (at least as much as all the other sport superstars). I do not have a problem with it. I bought some of his Nike gear in the past, and will probably get some of his new stuff if available (and if I like it). If it's not available, I mean it's just tennis gear in the end and there are still other brands out there. Thus, I don't really get what your point is? That he signed with UNIQLO and did not stay with Nike? That his stuff now maybe cheaper than before which does not fit your picture of him a greedy person?

PS: And Nike isn't about brand recognition, right? They just care about us who like to hit the tennis court on the weekend. They don't put out flashy clothes, which only top athletes can pull off, just to get some media attention. They don't do that ... Come on, they're all the same not matter if they are a sports company or not.

It is strange seeing fed in the Uniqlo. I feel like Uniqlo needs a new logo. Something that is just a single image rather than the name of their company. Also seems like they put their logo all over the clothing and make it busy.

Fed made the best business decision. Nike should have done what it took to keep him. He deserved a lifetime deal.

Wow! Triggered?

We can agree to disagree. Yes, when you leave a company that you’ve been with for 20 years for more money, one that isn’t interested in tennis, I’m more than justified to see that as greedy. If you don’t, that’s fine. His charity work is nice of course.

PS - he pulled the same stuff with the Basel tournament director. ‘Pay me what I think I’m worth or rlse’. They caved in; Nike didn’t.

What does Berdych’s H&M line have to do with uniqlo. Am I missing something?

BR

H&M are Uniqlo's direct competition.

They are big in Europe.

Uniqlo is Japan's version of Zara, H&M. Low cost casual clothing.

We buy a lot of H&M for the kids.......as they tend to grow out their clothes. One season and it's gone.

I’ve bought clothes from Uniqlo and have been happy with them. I just looked on the website, though, and there’s basically no atheltic/tennis gear.
