he will also win the Olympics on grass. Nadal will retire before he does due to his fragile knees. anyone who disagrees must not watch tennis, right now his back and legs hurt which are very important in your mechanics. get good, thanks.

Negative, his knees can't keep up.

people kept saying how nadal was finished, yada yada, and look how strongly he came back and took the fo crown, swept the clay masters, and may take wimbledon soon. Now i dont see nadal reaching 16 majors, but nadal reaching 11-13 majors isnt unrealistic at all. Some people really under estimate him. :)

Impossible someone just said Baghdatis was winning the next 13 slams and isn't Nadal supposed to get to what 40? Also you left out all those Cincinnati's that he will win. Seriously. After all Cincy is the TRUE SLAM.

So everyone on this board but you and maybe one SUPER CRAZY ******* doesn't actually watch tennis. Thats strange cause I swore what I was watching with the two men hitting the ball over the net this morning was tennis, man I was totally wrong. This is the reason wimbledon is going to make no money..cause NOBODY WATCHES TENNIS.

I even like Federer and I have to say that this is one of the truest threads I've ever seen. Trust me on this one; I majored in sarcasm.

Doubles!

What borderline-retired man and woman should he choose as a long-term partner, if any?

That's true, he might have a shot at extending his miraculous slam quarterfinal streak if Akgul Amanmuradova takes him under her wing for mixed.

Wow, you predict that in 2012 they will move the 2013 AO to December so that he will become the first man to win AO twice in the same year? Lol.

Ya just like 1977 where there was two Aussie open winners! Federer will be have one up on every greatest player!

Thats not realisitic. However he will rule the tennis world once more, though for a shorter period may be within two years. In that era he will win about 4-5 slams and another one when he will retire. So he will end up with 20 Grand Slams. 25 isn't possible.

Well at least someone has a positive outlook. Many people think Federer is ready to retire.

I'd say he has maybe one more slam left in him.

The backhand shanks and his stubborn personality are only gonna hold him back from reaching 20+ grand slams.

Federer will have only 2-3 more bites at the cherry... the 2010 USO, 2011 AO and 2011 Wimbledon.

I can't imagine him even making the final at the USO in his current form, however.

His 2012 Gold medal at Wimbledon is a pipe dream, IMO.
