1. Win 18th GS title. *CHECKED*
2. Beat Novak in a GS final.
3. Beat Rafa in FO.
4. Become World No.1.

Anything left out?
In fact with only (1) is accomplished, I'd still be happy by the end of year.

Doubt that #2 is a huge priority. ;) For statistical peace, may want to get back on the plus side in their H2H. I wouldn't mind seeing that.

If he took down Nadal at RG... I think they'd have to put his name in lights on an arena there, or something.

Likelihood (IMO) is that he overtakes Lendl for tourney titles. If he could do it in '17, that'd be tidy.

Last time he beat Novak in a GS was W '12, no? and it was a semi final. It's been a while. I know we're expecting too much from the old guy, but hey, this is Federer.

The last time he beat Rafa in a slam final was W07. The last time he beat Novak in a slam final was USO07.
He beat Rafa after ten years in a slam final. Can he do it again with currently his toughest opponent? :):)

Roger for Wimbledon 2017! :oops::oops::oops:

Yeah, I could see it happening, I reckon. I just don't know that it's tip top on his to-do list. The lion's share of the big losses to him were sustained post-peak. As examples, I don't know how much more the Wimby defeats hurt because they were at the hands of Djok, as opposed to any schmendrick on the tour.

Imagine he'd like to keep Cincy out of his hands, though. :)

Just Wimbledon. He doesn't need any of his remaining masters, they won't matter when all is said and done. Maybe a WTF if we're being optimistic and top 5.

He's never won either MC or Rome, despite being in the finals of both tournaments multiple times.

I disagree. Shouldn't the GOAT have the most MS-1000 titles? He has to go for 4+ this year.
Tbf he didn't really try at the masters between 08-10 and he won a load of them playing BO5 finals between 02-06.

If he had his 12,14,15 masters mind set when he was physically stronger in 08-10 he might have won more than the 2-3 or so? He won during those years.

Please let Rafa alone.:) We aren't about humbling others. Let's leave that to octomom, 90sC and choowetch.
Stomp the tour into the dirt.
Haha!

I'd be over the moon with one more slam. Any one.

I do like Nadal and I'd be really happy with this:
Fed beats Rafa to win FO.
Rafa beats Fed to win W.

Look, I am all for Rafa and Fed but I also value the sanity of fellow poasters. If this calamity happens, I don't know what will happen to sewretchs, 90sC and octomom. I value their hilarious accomplishments just as much as federer's slams LOL

Win Monte Carlo
Win Rome
Win Stutggart
Win Montreal
(None of which he has ever won)

Any other titles would just be a bonus.
Feds has won the Canada Masters twice, in 2004 and 2006. Or those don't count because they were in Toronto? What difference does that make when it's the same tournament?
