Federer with ON Tennis shoes Dubai

I'm digging the shoes. I know that ON is using a carbon springboard placed in the shoe that is similar to what they've put in some of their faster shoes. If you think about it, I'm sure they'll release these since the buzz is going to be fairly high. If you compare this shoe to something that you might see on their site, you might say that people are more likely to purchase these. I know they will play like 0.0034% of the shoe market for the average customer but you KNOW people are dying to get their hands on these just like his UNIQLO apparel that is like trying to find El Dorado. Hell, I'd buy them today. I dig what the shoe has and how it's designed. I know I'll be buying another pair of their running shoes soon. I've been wearing their stuff since 2016.

Yeah, there will be a production version eventually. Likely may have been sooner, however, the global production slowdown probably bit them. Re: the carbon plate, On currently uses a carbon plate on at least two racing-focused shoes, the Cloudflash and Cloudboom, so it's not unimaginable it may make it to the final version of this shoe. The downside to that is both of those shoes are crazy expensive ($180 and $200). I would be fine with a normal plastic version of the rocker plate for maybe $50 less than that.

Is Nike still kicking thesmelves?
Biggest news in tennis for the past 2 years is Federer returning to play an opening round in a 250 against the mug du jour.
Now we all want to buy the Vapor clone that ON made for Fed.

Would it have been worth Nike forking out the dough to get Fed to debut the Nike Vapor Pro? They probably could have bumped up the price by $50. They'd sell like hot cakes for the ever dwindling tennis market.

The shoe is nothing like the Vapor, so you can calm down.

Fedace can read but cannot comprehend

Fedace can read and comprehend, but the only way he can continue with his act is if he pretends that he cannot comprehend. Amazingly (to me), that trick works again and again, even among the regulars here, who are well aware of it.

It looks like the desire to put oneself as a main player (by correcting other's mistakes) is stronger than the reasonable attitude (to not feed the troll, since those mistakes are done on purpose EXACTLY with that intention (to illicit responses)).

In short: if no one responds to Fedace's intentional trolling, he will stop doing it (if not, it will just mean that he is mentally unwell).

He is the forum clown, so he’ll never disappear. He’s been here in 2007 as FEDACE, now as Nostradamus

I know, but, surely, people that know that realise what his trick is, and that there is only one way to basically make him irrelevant (even if he continues posting when no one pays attention, like I said, it will still be worth nothing to him, and that is what matters when dealing with such people. After all he does it exactly to get a response.).

New shoes look pretty nice imo; much better than the old-man sneakers they offered up last time
The shape is nice
Details are still a little corny and too many logos/brand insertions, maybe more noticeable here than it would be with Nike because the swoosh is the GOAT logo, and On's logo ... isn't

It's very simplistic and clean looking shoe. I am sure they will put them on sale at some point. There is no way he is just testing the shoes, because I don't see him saying before Wimbledon that sorry On shoes are not ready yet so I will play in Nikes instead :D They are just making some hype I guess.

Seen as no one else has posted detailed pics of them, I figured I might as well do!

Much prefer the larger On logo in the bottom prototype. I still think in a modified colorway it could be a very sleek shoe despite people's feedback on it.

I like the shoe a lot and hope it comes to retail. Very clean and understated. Matches Federer. I’m sure they made it feel vapor like. Good job (looks wise at least, we don’t know how they fit/perform) especially for a first shoe in tennis from a brand with no previous experience.

Yep an ON tennis shoe. I’ve been hoping for them to release them since I began coaching on court with the ON Cloudflyer - an incredibly stable shoe. I got to thinking about if they would ever release a tennis shoe. Two years later, they sign Roger to be a brand ambassador and look at what we have here, boys! Functional tennis posted a video on their IG showing the shoes in white.

did they sign Roger?
or did he buy a stake in the company?
