They are the modern tennis shoes closest in appearance to the tennis shoes like Stan Smiths and Borg Elites.
Maybe that is what makes them interesting design-wise?

I mean it's not like they're offensive, just uninspired. Apart from the colours there's also the squared off angles on the heel and toe rather than flowing lines.I guess they're attempting to evoke function over form but then there's the superfluous magnetic tongue element.

This is absolutely hilarious!! If I really wanted to trash a brand new pair of expensive white non on court sneakers I guess I’d just go and play in them on the local en-tout-cas rather than rubbing the supplied clay in like Roger in his little gloves - to be fair the guy is so balanced that he’s virtually never fallen over or put his hands down on a clay court but still...
(I hate it when my new clay court shoes start looking pink but it kinda goes with playing on clay surfaces - it’s why most people don’t buy white clay courters.)
