that's tough! i want him to have a serious rival but that will make it very difficult for him to break the records like winning more than 14 slams.
Competition is what makes sports so interesting. Obviously Federer really stands out from the crowd right now, even at a time when he's not even currently one-hundred percent physically. I think though we'll see more worthy opponents come forth. These young guns have no fear. Once they become more mature and consistent, I think you'll see more parity. I think Federer was tested in a watered-down field. Once some of the "big dogs" come back...it'll certainly get tougher. Nadal is definitely a contender as is Safin, Gasquet, and now Baghdatis. In addition, there are players such as Monfils, Djokovic, Wawrinka...who are all on the brink.
