So the greatest tennis tournament in the world is upon us again. This marks the end of my time on Talk Tennis. (for obvious reasons)

It also marks the great Roger Federer's last chance at winning a Grand Slam. It may only last one round but it will be fun to follow the journey.

I think Nadal wins this.

I have enjoyed my time here. The trolling is quite something, but rather enjoyable.

I am glad that I retire at the greatest tournament in the world.

Come one now .. I'm not the most optimistic guy out there and I think Fed will not win this wimby (or any other to be realistic) but at least I have some faith in the man. And I won't be surprised if he actually does it.

Federer now plays only with the residuals left of his stunning talent and I have faith in those residuals to keep him going with some bit of luck.

This OP reminds me of a junior pro wannabe who was my neighbour. He plays a good baseline Nadal style tennis with two handed backhand and one day in 2013 he explained to me like an expert how Federer won't win a grand slam anymore because of his weak and vulnerable single handed backhand and his age (lol). He also suggested to me to start playing a more baseline grinder tennis and less serve and volley. Lol. He is now quitting tennis because of his broken wrist. I blame it on his crappy Babolat Roddick Team racquet and high tension full poly.
