Federer's most clutch moments?

How would you rank them?

Just thinking fast, these came to my mind:

*The tiebreak against Nadal in the Wimbledon final 2008 (saving two match points, taking the set)

*Getting the break in the 5th set of the Wimbledon final 2007 against Nadal and then hitting three aces in the game afterwards and then taking the title in the following game.

*4th Set Comeback vs Djokovic, Wimbledon final 2014

*Vs Murray, Shanghai Masters Cup 2008, 7 match points saved in one game

*Vs Djokovic FO 2011, the match point, ending his streak

*End of third set vs Haas FO 2009

*Saving two set points against Gonzalez and winning the set AO 2007

*Agassi Masters Cup 2003 saving match point, then winning

*End of Sampras match Wimbledno 2001, saving break point, then winning the match the very next game

Can you guys think of any other? And how you would rank these among them?

Good list OP. I don't know exactly where these would rank but two that just came to me are the 4th set TB against Benneteau at Wimbledon 2012 and the 2nd set TB against Soderling at RG 2009. The match wasn't on the line in the second instance, but the way he won the TB was the very definition of clutch if you think about, IMO. He never gave Soderling a chance. Raised his game to a great height for about 5 minutes. 4 aces and 3 great return points. 7-1 and the set is over. Considering what was on the line I would call that clutch.

Btw, I think that saving the BP against Haas (considering what it eventually led to) is far and away #1 if I was to list Federer's most clutch moments. Basically everything else is up for debate, but that's not.

Another one that just came to mind is saving BP's at 8-8 against Roddick, and in the same match winning the 2nd set TB even though it was more of a Roddick choke. Also saving BP at 4-4 in the second set against Murray in the 2012 final. If he doesn't do that he might be down 2 sets to none.

Many good ones here... His play towards the end of the sets in the Wimby 2012 SF and F hasn't been mentioned yet and I find it to be a great examples for Federer taking charge of the occasion when it matters. Certainly not at the top of the list, but the number 1 spot already has been mentioned a few times IMO.

The i/o forehand when he was down two sets and a break point against Haas is the signature shot of Federers career.

Ruthlessness of 2nd set tie-break in 2009 RG final v SolderingIron.

Roddick didn't exactly play brilliant during the 2nd set TB of the Wimbledon 2009 final, but Fed sure handled the heavy pressure amazingly. So much history on the line. He saved 4 set points, 2 of them on Roddick's serve. I remember on shot in particular(along with Andy's missed volley), a redicilous backhand flip winner. Had he lost that set, I do not see how he could have won the match. Roddick probably had the best serving day of his career.

That said, I think the 4th set TB against Rafa the year before is the clear winner.

Yeah. The way he won that second set against Murray out of nowhere was increadible. The last two points of that swt were unreal. It turned the match around completely.

At this year's Wimbledon final he saved like 4+ set points in the second set tie break didn't he? I thought that was pretty clutch.

Yeah, for me it has to be the Haas match. Yes, he'd face tougher opponents on bigger stages in some of those other moments, but psychologically that was just so huge. Nadal had finally been beaten at Roland Garros just the day before, the way was clear for Roger to finally complete the set, and he suddenly found himself in a 2 set hole. Getting out of that position against a player as experienced as Tommy Haas is no small thing.

USO 2005 SF. Hewitt had Federer down set point multiple times across a couple of game - Federer saved basically everyone with clean winners.

2-sets to 1 comeback against Delpo in 2009 RG deserves mention as well. He willed himself to that title.
