Federer's Painted PS 6.0 85?

Looking at the thread about Hrbaty's painted racquet, I saw a nice picture by PrestigeClassic of a painted Original Pro Staff. I am curious to know if people think Federer still hits with a 85 Original Pro Staff, but with the 16x19 string pattern. I actually have an 85 Original Pro Staff with a 16x19 string pattern, but it is only 25 inches long, so I know that Wilson has made them. And for Roger Federer, they could have made similar (full-size of course), and then painted them to promote any racquet they wanted. Thoughts?

Just search for Federer's racket on this board, every day there is a new thread about it.

Comparing Fed's racket to Sampras' in the Wimby museum you can see the rackets are almost identical except for arond the throat area in the joints where the throat and the hoop meet. Assuming that they are both the genuine racket used by the players in their repesctive finals, and I have no reason to believe otherwise I would say they are from different molds.

There is another thread about Federer's racket with picture by picture comparison to the retail NCode Tour 90. Both come from the same mold (90), Federer's hits most his shots in the upper part of the string bed so his holes string holes are drilled differently. As for the exact contruction of his racquet, who knows...... the retail version is extremely close anyways.

you are right. you couldn't tell an 85 sq inch head from a 90 sq inch head by looking. not really noticeable even if you put them one on top of each other.

i've heard he still uses the 6.0 85 from a Wimby stringer I know but he never measured it's probably just another guess.

look i think some of the TW staff should get involved in this arguement. i bet they can the information that so many of us are arguing over. help us out chris/don/super cool tw gang !

-- edit --

just thought after i posted - tw may not want to get involved as the answer could cause a decline in ncode sales?

Doublehandedandlovingit.........take it easy dude! Keep your violent and potty mouth to yourself, jerk. For someone who is telling somebody else to go play aren't you on the board just as he is? Why don't you join an anger management message board and let tennis speaking friendly folks continue with their own business........PUNK

Thanks to those who responded in kind (robbieb- and others), with helpful information. I am new to this site, and yes, I am a big fan of Federer and curious about his equipment. To those who don't like it, well then why respond in the first place? It just makes you appear even more juvenile and un-intelligent. If I don't like ice cream, then I won't eat it, but I surely won't waste my time trying to convince others that they should not like it- especially if I have to log in and then type it...the whole idea of these boards is to post topics with regard to tennis. Thanks again.

they respond badly because there have been loads of people before who have made threads like this - but they were much less dignified than you. they just seem to wince at the sight of these posts. theres a good 10 page thread made recently about feds racquet. try looking at that too!
