Federer's Red Butt Cap?

I noticed in his first round match at the French, his racquet had a red butt cap instead of the updated black version that is being sold as the Fed autograph V13.

Just wondering, is he still using the old paint job or the new version paint with the old butt cap?

Fed has a custom made handle and non RF buttcap. He has never used the "retail" RF97 buttcap.

It is a Wilson buttcap, just not the RF97 retail one. Can't recall which one it is..

I noticed that too and was wondering if someone would post about it. It would be ironic if even Federer doesn’t want that sharp edged
butt cap anymore.

It is not the Triad buttcap, it is custom although looks like it. Has no trap door. You can see it in some of P1's pictures.

In Federer’s case. It is very similar to the later version of ps 85 cap.he continued to use them in 2009 until P1 ran out of those. Wilson started to produce new ones only matching the looks of retail ones. He does Not use the retail rf97 cap which is very edgy.
