Federer's relationship with Mirka..

Going through these pile of interviews:

http://docs.com/C3OM

I was thinking how can anyone like each other so much.. So i concluded:

1) a woman's loyalty to a man is tested when her man has nothing.. federer had 0 titles and mirka was beautiful back then.. so mirka's loyalty convinced federer..

2) a man's loyalty to a woman is tested when he has everything.. Federer has everything now and still doesnt explore options.. so Federer's loyalty convinced Mirka..

When you have this kind of security nothing can really come your way..
I find this post disgusting. You are reducing love to something like a bank transaction.

How about the immaterial? Maybe Fed thinks Mirka is still beautiful (God forbid), or maybe they see in each other the spiritual beauty that eludes most other people. Maybe a shared life of experiences has established a bond between them which will tie them together forever.

Must you look for an explanation to love? Preposterous!

I like Fed, I like Federer a lot; but not his game (let's face it, he's no Guy Pioline, or even a Stich...and definitely not a Bruguera--the Mona Lisa of tennis, everybody loves him)...for whatever reason, it's just not that stylish to me. I always found his strokes stylish, but not terribly unique...a rather bland, generic splash of stylish to me. Meaning w/out his impecable results, I don't think people would find them THAT interesting to look it. But his nose on the other hand? Now, that is interesting. It looks like it was something sculpted by a genius, like the Demi Lovato or Moore...really, it's quite interesting. I believe him. Anyone with such passion in their nose, you know can sniff out who is really true or not. And obviously, she really is. Not sayin' Tiger's yummy isn't a sweet little ENFP...when she is...but she for sure wasn't magentized by the man the way these 2 were prolly from the start. You know what I always say, a spark of imperfection keeps the bed flies away.... I've become bad news biased against *bad seed* ENTP's over the years, but Fed reminds me much more of Dork from Dork and Cindy these days. Just a sweet loveable, genius whose also a dork. I believe him, because he seems to actually want to travel with her like a lot. More than Bitter "Kool-Aid" Broderick from behind bars...at least for now. 'Cause, in that relationship; it's somewhat similar to this in that the man used the woman as an incredibly useful means to an end. A rather growing voluptuous buddy to hold hands with at night...and, during the day, just about the greatest *facilitator* around for allowing a man to go run along and play make-believe God. I don't think Fed's that way, nor Mirka. Though, I suppose u never know, they could go down and become the next Mel Gibson fiasco...and yet, even still there is a genuine love and respect everlasting. With the original wife that is, not the prettiest; but as he later found out, *still* the best.

You know, I can see what Fed sees in Mirka...when they saw each for the first time, I imagine their noses began to glow...just like ET's fingers did in that movie. If that's not attraction, I don't know what is. If Federer were a dog catcher, and Mirka an ice cream truck driver...I, sooooo can see them stopping in the street to honk random body parts at each other. They wouldn't even know what they'd be doing...they'd just be honking things, hootin' and hollerin', and then it'd end just like that movie Flashdance. Roger would go onto discover his love of ballet, and Mirka would somehow magically trade her ice cream truck in for a Porsche. If you ask me, that's real love...*working at it.*

It doesn't seem like Roger's working overtime to get away from his #1 ally. Imo, there is no doubt; that for now, at least, Roger makes it clear to all the ladies; that Mirka is the only honey in his box. Not like one of those trophy wives who all they do is drag your trophies around all day while nagging...nagging, nagging, nagging, ouch, I broke a fingernail, more nagging...*more dragging,* and most importantly of all, more superficial scratches now, to tag along with those trophies...eww, yuck, I can sooooo totally see why every tennis pro should marry a former pro, who knows how to make a mean low-fat lasagne...who knows what it'll take to climb that mountain. I think if this were a politically driven relationship, Federer at his age...would have dropped off a whole lot more than he has. I think it takes next to nothing to fall off a cliff at this level, when look at how even mini-Rafter, Takao Suzuki, gave prime Federer a whooping, *if* his "heart" wasn't really all that into it anymore. Time flies out there, and in general; players with "mental" problems off the court, it usually carries over into them growing through the motions, and barely practicing both on *and* off the court. Tennis being scheduled the way it is, and being an individual sport the way it is, and being a sport that requires the UTMOST concentration...I really do believe it's FAR more likely that had things really gone south by now, Federer would be ranked no more than around 10 in the world, probably lower, if not maybe even a lot lower. It really doesn't take that much to slip, when tennis at this level is about consistently reinforcing to your peers that I'm just a *little bit* better than you on average, per set, per match. A player whose lost their edge it becomes obvious to all in the locker room, and this sport more than any other except the law of the jungle and sharks...once that happens, EVERYONE begins poucing-in on you, until you believe no more...and it's *too late to ever truly mentally recover,* in most cases.

A diva who makes excuses to travel with his wife, who gives her all the responsibility in the world for handling his affairs...is one of the real good ENTP's in life. You can tell how well his mother and father must have whipped the morality and goodness into him real good growing up...there is NO DOUBT that they really stressed a fermenting bad seededness out of him long ago...and it really shows. The way he blushes sometimes? It's rosy, I believe in him still. As for his tennis? I never could care less, because let's face it; he's NO BRUGUERA. If I were Sergio Tachhini, I'd seriously consider renaming my company, Sergio Bruguera...so stylish, so unique, and yet so very humble; they could charge $100 for a halo, and no one would blink. The man is an angel. Incidentally, Gustavo Kuerten, it's my guilt conscience getting the best of me again...but he's, he's...*a realllly good guy.* I mean *realllly* GREAT. Even greater than Federer maybe. As far as ENTP's go (I've let only a few not so great to me and those loved ones make me biased, we all have them)...yeah, he's *unbelievably* great. His secret? His fortunately not forgotten, but terribly sick, brother. He too was clearly and obviously raised to have a soul above all else. The spirit is good in that one. You know what's good about ENTP's vs. ESTP's like Rios, Agassi, and Goran who tended to suddenly "freeze" when it mattered most? Or at least in the beginning, for Agassi overcame, as eventually did Goran. But, ENTP's like I say, when the moment is first there...they frequently go for it, they *seize* it, loose and swinging from the cockpit...Guga's first French victory over Bruguera, really reminded me a lot of Sampras coming out and finding the "zone" as their opponents' visibly restricted up into their own boa constrictor...the *audacity,* to *seize the moment* when it is there. Safin is an ENTP too (albeit a party boy ENTP, who preferred that image for himself a little too much; he enjoyed the slightly "too cool" for tennis image a little too much for his own career good...it's where *you place your values* in the end, that determines so much of our priorities in life, and the final outcome). And again, I've seen it so many times. So many other types, wilt and fail to step through the hoop when it's there. ENTP's however often come out swinging and loose as a feather (yes, we all have nerves, as Guga showed to start that match...but then he shook it off, and the looser and looser he became...so much about winning at sports is restricting your opponent's natural "body flow" if you will...for instance, don't let an ISTP like Muster find ways to *justify* going all *caveman* on you...because that "barbaric" *act,* we only repeat because we're not dummies. Over time, we all realize what way we need to "act" for our "best" level of play to come out. And for ISTP's finding things to get angry at works wonderfully...watch it live, to see how their minds work; again, if it weren't effective, we'd quickly learn to stop. But, of course, this should never get in the way of our morals. Greed sucks, humans are great. I believe we lose precious bonding chemicals when mating for today like Safin...you can see how much affect KNOWING growing up that you're the studliest looking muffin around, when you look like Richard Gere, but Russian...woman gonna notice. You know, though, long term when everyone responds to you as charming, funny, witty, bad boy, and sexy growing up...and that's how he ended up playing. Never realized his full potential, because he let the stereotype define him, become him...even though the real him, you can tell; he's a deep down good guy to the core. Fed felt he looked awkard growing up, but his ability was sublime...so he learned to invest *all* of his energies into what does not fade from the record books. So, in a way, I guess we could say Fed was "luckier" for not being born so sexy that it got in the way of who he really was. We know Safin could have been even betterer...not Federer. Guess it depends on who you value more, and what. Because we're all born with a certain allotment of bonding chemicals that we "waste," when we bare before thinking, did, done deal, barren are the invaluables I left behind? Who knows...once the wheels are in place, and Madison Avenue starts rolling out the ads...it's almost too late to tell the machine to stop printing, when there's already millions more already in place. Very hard to stop, I think Mirka feeds Roger all the right variables in his life--values, not barriers to his? What? Fame, fortune, success, what? Greatness? Agassi is a great, yet *highly* improbable example here...so though not probable, anything is possible, *if* that's the way you really want it...to feel good inside, and not like a...hormone, on a leash. I don't feel "bad" for Hugh Hef, just sad.... Secretly, most everyone does pity him. It's kind of sad, and deep down, you know he probably knows it too, feels it, at least just a little.

That's where the story goes with all the women. Once you get the money and fame, even if you are Chuck Norris, you cant be sure why are they truly with you.

Fed isn't the only one, Djoker is still with Jelena.. Murray, Nadal, ect.

How do you know he does resist temptation? What a stupid thread to try and presume that you know what goes on in a stranger's relationship just because of the "image" his PR handlers present to the world.

We have no idea what goes on in his relationship with Mirka. He may be the most loyal person ever or he may be the exact opposite. Whatever he does or does not do, hopefully he will be smarter than his buddy Tiger Woods about it.
Hah, I joke with one of my friends all the time that ever since Tiger got caught out there, you dont see Tiger in roger's box or roger popping up at golf tournaments....I dont think that is a coincidence. lol

Someone usually cheats for one reason and one reason alone. Sex/Contact. If a couple gets distanced enough, one of them will go off and do the deed. Rarely does it have much to do with anything beyond that. Generally, what most people miss and find in another person is that feeling they had for their current partner when they first met. That's gone from their daily lives, so they search for it instinctively. The thing is, once they get there, that relationship ends up or has the chance to end up (if they stick to it) at exactly the same point their current one is at. It is my belief that humans were never really meant to be menogomous, but times have taught us that we should be. Deep down inside, I think everyone at one point in their lives ends up wanting more or something else, but some come to the realization that the same bs would happen down the road again if they made that move anyway, so why ruin what is most likely a good relationship. Again, we're talking about people who are not in bad relationships because those people usually split anyway. We're talking about people who are in good relationships and happy but might be missing out on what impulsively they may want. In situations like this, mature enough people realize that to risk ending a relationship just to start another that's an impulsive one is stupid and to some extent not really worth the time and effort just for the sexual stimulous it temporeraly introduces.

Look at it this way. Why would Fed mess up a perfection good realtionship with Mirka when she's always there for him, they have great children together, they have a ton of money and can do pretty much anything they want together, and he can keep to his current schedule of entertainment/playtime/duties without having to worry about her nagging him about not spending enough time with her... which is most definitely what a "new" girlfriend of sorts would end up doing. A new one would just end up being a bored gold digger after a few weeks on tour with him. Why bother with that BS?...

Have you considered being a Shrink for a living?? you could do well.. :)

I think Roger got the best out of this deal.

As a women (with a bit of age one me) I know how over time your priorities change, from me, to him, too us, too our family. You put your needs last. Less time in the gem, beauty salon so forth. It must be so hard, week after week traveling with husband and twin toddlers all over the world.

I can usually tell how well Roger is doing by this picture alone. The faster she chews the closer the match.

She seems pretty cool, and definitely loyal, but man, Fed is one sharp looking dude. Hard to believe he's with her, I know if it were me I'd want a better looking chick. Guess that's the only thing separating me and Fed. Besides all those titles of course.

You are a true humanitarian. And I suppose that as your mate becomes old it will be time for a replacement.

I hope that when you become old, sick, or (hopefully not) disfigured by an accident you will find in your family and friends the same type of respect you are willing to give.

As for Mirka, I really don't see anything wrong with her. Also, keep in mind that Europeans have different tastes than what Americans do, so that might play a big part on what he finds interesting in her.

He's wearing some interesting shoes.

Now, as for this... Is it me or has his casual style changed in the past couple of months when he's out with the fam? What is up with that? The outfit works, but the shoes completely throw it off for some reason.

Also, do those come with power laces? :p

Maybe it’s because he has a contract to wear them verses his causal clothes.

That must be the ugliest sweater I ever saw in my life. The shoes are beyond my comprehension. That outfit/style is so not him.

Yeah whoever designed that sweater/cardigan over did it, pocket lapels and seam should have been black. Shoes are ok but don't go well with those pants , they are more suited for a night club with a dark pant/denim.

the problem is that too many people nowadays are so superficial (Roger the goat should be dating a supermodel, right). who are we really to decide what Roger or some average Joe likes? Maybe Mirka is not the miss Universe but I'm sure she has some inner qualities that Roger is attracted too. plus they started dating before Roger was Roger if I remember correctly.

thanks, I thought so, although I don't really read that much about their private lives (it's just that it's almost impossible to avoid it). kinda interesting that Novak met Jelena back in 2005 when he was a nobody. they are still together. it's nice. I like loyalty. nowadays, it's not that common any more ... almost everyone is looking for some greener grass ....

I'm sure that both Roger and Nole (with all of their money, influence and popularity) can have pretty much any girl out there. What I really like about both guys is that they are still holding to some good old values.

Nadal’s has been dating his girlfriend since 2005. And Andy has been with his girlfriend for quite a while too. So the top four seem to have been very lucky in their choices of soul mates.

Don't kid yourself. Fed's getting more than enough p***y on the side, trust me.
dunno....Mirka has basically been by his side non stop since 2002.

Kind of hard to cheat on a woman who travels with you, goes out and about with you and is courtside and probably in the locker room after matches.

Mirka was no fool, after she had to retire from the game, she kept her man on LOCK. I cannot recall a tournament from 2003 til 2009 where Mirka wasnt present. So, I can give Rogi and Mirka the benefit of the doubt that he has not stepped out on her and thensome.

Also, projection is a funny thing.

again, given the fact that mirka travels with him and is seen with him constantly, when exactly would he have time to chat up other women?

Mirka is *always* around. Men tend to try and do their dirt when they are separated from their woman. Now he could be bold and try and scoop some random chick the minute her back is turned. But given that photos show Mirka not only courtside but with him when he is out and about, it seems to me he would have precious little opportunity.

So what, he is gonna bang some random chick in a closet and then come back to his hotel room with mirka, smelling of another woman?
What, is he gonna come home hours after he is supposed to be and Mirka cant piece it together? ROFL. Mirka doesnt have access to the finances or know his schedule to know when is supposed to be home with her and the kids? Methinks thou speakest as a man who is not married/in a committed serious relationship who has their woman around them constantly. Not to mention the fact that for years, she was basically his mananager, Im sure she knows when and where Roger is supposed to be at all times.

The naivete displayed on forums astounds me at times.

Are you that superficial, that inexperienced or just that dense??? I can't figure out which.........

It's called meeting the woman or man you love and then following nature's course and establishing your household.

If you're American, go ask your grandparents, or even a friend's grandparents, how simple it was before 1960, when you met someone, felt the chemistry, married them, and lived happily ever after, through the Depression, WWII and everything else, without having any identity issues or wanting to quit the marriage because things weren't "perfect" like they were in the beginning.

Come on dude, you can't seriously be this ignorant unless you're 14 or something.

And Mirka is one of those women who still looks good with baby weight. Not as trim as when she was playing but the curves are righteous. Not every woman can pull that off......

the problem is that too many people nowadays are so superficial (Roger the goat should be dating a supermodel, right). who are we really to decide what Roger or some average Joe likes? Maybe Mirka is not the miss Universe but I'm sure she has some inner qualities that Roger is attracted too. plus they started dating before Roger was Roger if I remember correctly.
Everybody is or can be superficial (me too.) It's just that the straightforwardness with which people declare that Roger should do better disgusts me. Who cares when they started dating? Is it so outrageous for anyone to believe that two people may be in love regardless of how any of them looks?

It's hard for me to put the finger on what about this bothers me. I guess it is that by making this statement public (Federer should do better) you are imposing your superficiality on other people (or making it acceptable.) If anybody wants to be superficial it's their business. I personally think it's a sin (in the religious sense, or just in a human sense) to be superficial and decide who you love based on the outside. Sure there is a component of love which is based on chemistry, but to decide to stop loving somebody because "they don't look so hot anymore" is fcking disgusting. Sorry, just my honest opinion.

EDIT: And this comes from someone who has made frequent jokes about Mirka in this forum, to annoy the usual ******* or for whatever other reasons. If you don't see the difference between this and what I'm saying then you need to think harder.

basically this. alot of people projecting how many hot models they'd be banging if they were Fed and cant accept the fact that he has remained in love with a woman that did not grace a Victoria's Secret calender.

Surely he must be cheating? when all evidence points to the fact that he would have little to no opportunity to do so.

I am as liberal as the next female...but I do admit, it seems dating was sure easier when everyone was expected to marry and make babies as soon as possible and everyone knew their supposed role.

Don't get me wrong, Im not saying women belong back in the kitchen, FAR FROM IT.

Im just saying that nowadays, it seems people make relationships harder than they need to be.

Just my .02

Very well said.

Federer may not be the GOAT, but he's a honest man. Good for him.
