Pete's forehand or Fed's serve?

The secondary weapon in each great's arsenal, and yet both signature shots. The Federer serve was an incredible shot that set up Roger's forehand throughout the years, and became something of a free point factory in the latter years of his career. Pete's forehand, while not as consistent as the big 3's, was the closest thing to a bat the tennis court has ever seen. He could rifle the ball through the court, particularly forehand to forehand, his whip forehand approach was incredible, and his running forehand is a legendary shot that needs no introduction.

Which is the better shot?

The serve is a more important shot in general in mens tennis, so for that reason mainly Federer's serve. That plus Sampras's forehand while a potent and extremely strong weapon most of the year, was mostly rendered ineffective on one surface (clay) which is not true of the Federer serve, except when he played Nadal on clay I guess.
