Federer's shoe history BEFORE the Vapor 9?

What did he wear before that? A search only reveals:
Oscillate, Air Court Implosion, Breathe Free Original, Vapor S2, Vapor Speed. He's pulling a Sampras and wearing an older model since he doesn't want to aggrivate foot/ankle problems, but those shoes may be what gave him problems in the first place. He should switch back to the Oscillate now that they have been re-released! It's a classy shoe that would fit his classy game.
What happened between the Oscillates and the Vapor 9? Did he wear anything else besides vapors? Were there any Vapors that he never wore?

not good for smell right? or not good for performance? I think before the 1990s, most grand slam champions wore leather and it was good enough to win grand slams. so using logical deductive reasoning, it can't be because of performance. you must mean not good for smell.

LOL I am sorry I could not resist. :-D :-D :-D

@jmacdaununder2 is familiar with this predicament

Regardless though that thread was specifically about vapors though. I am also curious about any potential times where he did not wear them though.

Well your question based on thread title/op was prior to vapor 9, which I laid out 8 years of in that thread

In regards to non-vapors, he wore the oscillate forever, then went air court implosion 2001-2002 other than back to oscillate for wimbledon in 2002 & then Breathe free original for 2003. 2004 - 2020 vapors

but that was more regarding the shoes though. I am asking about the player which is why this is in the Pro's gear section instead of the shoes section. reading through it I can see there were a sizable portion of shoes that he did not endorse. which is not what this thread is about.

You asked what models fed wore in those years and that’s all answered in Gino thread.

Vapor s2, speed, vapor 4, 5, 6, 9, 9.5 , flyknit 9.5, X etc.

He skipped 3, 7, 8 though he did test some and never switch

okay like I said, there are also non vapors I was asking about so I am not sure what the problem is
You keep changing what you’re asking. Before the vapor line he wore the first breathe free and the oscillate. Are you also asking about non tennis shoes?

Nike is really lost in the design of shoes and clothing right now.
It’s unfortunate, they had a clear and concise idea of what they wanted to do until about 2020. The last solid Nike shoe in my opinion was the GP turbo, now I don’t like their shoes. I’ve seen the number of people wearing them drop off dramatically where I’m from, and people used to wear them a lot.
