Federer's Surface Variety - 10 Grand Slam finals on 2 surfaces and 7 Grand Slams on 2 surfaces

Federer has reached 10 finals on 2 surfaces - 10 on Grass at Wimbledon and 12 on hard at the Australian Open and US Open. He also has at least 7 Titles on 2 surfaces - 7 on Grass at Wimbledon and 9 on hard at the Australian Open and US Open.

Do you think Nadal or Djokovic can match his dual surface excellence?

Djokovic needs to reach 6 more Wimbledon finals and win four of them. Or reach 7 more French Open finals and win four of them.

Nadal needs to reach 4 more hard court Grand Slam finals and win all of them.

This is the sort of statistic that appears plausible but doesn't hold up under analysis. The problem is that you are treating the Australian Open and the US Open as though they are interchangeable. By doing so, you allow yourself to double up on Federer's second most successful surface. Djokovic and Nadal might have more chance of winning seven titles on grass if there were two Slams on it.

I wonder if Nadal would've won in 2009 on Rebound Ace, or if Djokovic would've won on it.

Fed was extremely awesome on rebound ace, I think it gets overlooked.
