By becoming the YE #1 Thiem would prevent Djokovic gaining weeks at #1

U.S. Open is bigger prestige wise and for a long time was a strong second to Wimbledon; now they are all fairly close.Unless the FO is the bigger Major prestige wise? Players are so polite we will never know the answer to that though
but would they be OK if Tim won the next four slams, or would that be too much? If he bests Nadal at RG, three or four might even be likely.Fedheads want Thiem Year End #1?
No ****. Those who say otherwise are simply lying.
Well, whatever and whoever that can dethrone Nad and Djok and helps Roger maintain GOAT is enough for me to be happy.but would they be OK if Tim won the next four slams, or would that be too much? If he bests Nadal at RG, three or four might even be likely.

Why wouldn’t they?Fedheads want Thiem Year End #1?

I’d love it.but would they be OK if Tim won the next four slams, or would that be too much? If he bests Nadal at RG, three or four might even be likely.

Ive always wondered about USO v FO. Which is older?U.S. Open is bigger prestige wise and for a long time was a strong second to Wimbledon; now they are all fairly close.![]()
FO was founded in 1891 and the USO in 1881.Ive always wondered about USO v FO. Which is older?
Sarsha can do it. Go Sarsha.

Nope.you finally let Saboosh into your soul?
So the average Fedfan wants next GEN to do really well but they're insulating themselves by saying their garbage in case Nadal and Djokovic continue to clean up. Nadal and Djokovic fans want the players competitive but not too competitive.
Tim running the tables probably causes all sorts of problems for all the camps and it would be wonderful.if Tim cleans up does that suddenly make the golden age of the big three a weaker era? Fedies probably ok with that too.

Tim is just a transitory, spiritual leader. Zverev's muggery has given Tim a much bigger window for slam success. You're getting things confused. IF NextGen does well, as in ATG-level well, then they will basically prevent Fedalovic from winning any slams except the odd Fedalovic flukes. Or are you suggesting that young-Fedalovic wouldn't mop the floor with their current ancient 33-39 year old selves? Let's hope Thiem wins 1-2 of the next 4 slams so that the NextGens can start to believe and win 1-3 of the slams that Thiem doesn't win. THEN The Diamond Age will be upon us, and no sooner.![]()
What kind of fedfan are you?No, I do not want Thiem or anyone else for No .1 at this point.
I want Djokovic to break Federer's weeks at No. 1 record. Then Thiem can have it![]()
Edberg wool pants era stuff. Check on Stanimal. Last I checked badal went five Dimatrough at the 2017 Australian open.Feds draw was so good I predicted him to make the final in the tournament despite the handwringerering.
Lulz, owned them all plus two huge pigeons. Still in handwringerer mode on that one I see.fed had a predicted draw of berdych, nishikori, murray, wawrinka before the final in AO 17
actual draw was berdych, nishi, wawrinka before the final
but fed draw so good.
What kind of fedfan are you?![]()
You are a Djokovic fan thoughMachan I've said many times before, much as I love Federer, the sport comes first. These kind of moments when players break records attract attention to the sport and bring people so it's important.
You are a Djokovic fan though![]()

Used sense and had Fed going to final. His form was quite promising at Hopman Cup.dude, use some sense.
Federer was coming back from injury after 6 months (wim 2016). no warmup tournament either.
And that would be a draw of 5 top 10 in a row for the slam (ended up being 4 in total)
Federer was "only" 4-2 vs nishi before AO 17 (now 8-3)
Nishi and wawrinka matches were ownages ?
nishi went like 4-0 up in the 1st set and the match went 5 sets.
wawrinka match also went 5 sets. Federer faced BPs (2?) first in the 5th and barely saved one BP when Wawrinka hit a fierce return.

Fed has never lost to Wawa on hard courts. Sure Ninja goated against him too, but these things happen. Murray and Bendy’s form were pretty so-so starting the year; Novak lol.
So USO has it then as more prestigious probably. Unless the clay element elevates FO perhapsFO was founded in 1891 and the USO in 1881.
He was pretty shaky in that match compared to his run in 2016, plus Nole’s general level was dubious. Eye testing matches is tricky because a poor form opponent can make a player look good. See Nole Rome 2017 and subsequent face plants.@ bold part : and Nadal had not lost a set to Wawrinka before their AO 14 final, let alone any match anywhere (was it like 12-0 or 13-0 ?)
Murray-djokovic had a pretty well contested final in Doha that Djokovic eked out. How was Murray's form so-so starting the year ?
Considering Murray's win in YEC 16 (which capped off his 16 indoor season), Murray-Djokovic were the clear 2 favorites for the AO.
Sarsha can do it. Go Sarsha.

Thiem is the only player standing in the way between Nadal or Djoker surpassing Fed. Wonder if Roger is chanting and doing spells right now?So USO has it then as more prestigious probably. Unless the clay element elevates FO perhaps
