"Don't know how much more I want," Federer said afterwards. "This one I think is easy to get over just because I've had the most amazing summer." He's achieved his career slam. He's broken Pete's record. He's married now and has kids. Tennis is becoming less important in his life and the competitive fire is gone. He may not know it but he will not like losing to people he once owned in big slam finals. He's 28 but if he doesn't win a slam next year, he will certainly hang it up. Burn out comes not from winning but from losing to players that were never a threat. When Borg lost to Brian Gottfried, he say he didn't like losing to someone who couldn't hold his tennis bag. The old Fed would have taken Delpo. He played like crap because his focus wasn't there. He done wanting. He's satiated. Discuss.
