Premise: I've been a Yonex fan for several years. Used the old Ezone Ai 98 and then DR98. Currently wavering between the Pure Aero 2023, Artengo Tour Control 960, and ProKennex Q+5X Pro.

I previously used the Vcore Pro 97d, but am looking for lighter frames. Seems my current spec preference is 97-100", 300-310g.

I haven't used any of the above frames yet. In reading reviews, I'm initially drawn to the Vcore Pro 97 (as tennisnerd review speaks volumes to this). But at the same time, I'm gravitating more towards "easier to play with" frames. I was considering the Vcore 95, but that seems like the opposite of "easier to play with." I tend to buy frames to demo them, and then sell if they don't gel with me. So my gut says to try either of the Vcore Pros, but the TennisGladiator review of the Vcore 100 was promising as well.

Any thoughts of the differences of these frames?

Yonex fanboy here. I'm currently playing with the VCore Pro 100 and Vcore 98 and my wife plays with the EZone 100 (the newest versions). Depends what youre looking for. If you're looking for a powerful yet forgiving stick that's maneuverable, I would go try the EZone 100 (I steal it from my wife every now and again). If you want something bit more control oriented (and bit less power) but buttery soft with amazing feel, try the VCore Pro 100. And the VCore 98 is a powerful spin monster with a high launch angle if that's what you want.

Thanks. I ended up ordering a VC95 to play with. I switched to the Wilson Ultra Pro as my racket, but figured the VCore 95 will be a fun frame to keep in the bag.

Sort of wish Yonex would offer the 104 version like the do in Japan with the upcoming release..
the Blade 104 could use some competition...

Your comment resonated w me as I have gone back and forth from Yonex sticks & like what each brings to the table. Played with last three models of VC98 and really like the '23, what is your take on this newest one? I have loved the FEEL of the VCP (owned a blue/red 97/310 & demoed 100s, but never the '21) but VCP got me in some trouble leaving balls short too often. While I love the thin beam, I heard that current version going up to same thickness as VC98 (23mm) gave it some added power/depth while maintaining feel. I am always tinkering, but wonder if I should consider the VCP 100 ('21 or soon to be released '23). My game is predicated on my serve and aggressive doubles style. Your thoughts and feedback from experience with both those sticks is appreciated!

I thought that 2021 VCP100 launch angle is too high and the stringbed is too open. It lacked accuracy for me. The feel and the paintjob are awesome though.
