I’m not sure what they are. Other than that he’s using a PAVS with rpm rough 125
And I’m also sure that he’s the greatest new talent since Thiem.
Please TT brothers chime in and contribute to this thread.
We would love to know weight balance etc etc.

He’s the real deal. He rises the tougher the competition. He hasn’t lost a set to a top 20 this week.

I think he’s using the current aero vs tour?

I recently got a couple of this in hand just because of him lol. Felix and I both played with original strike for entire junior year, and neither of us liked the P17. Just wanna see why he switched to this PAVS lol.

What? No lol I mean I saw him switch from original strike to PAVS and rising up fast on the rankings so I think it might be a good fit for me as well lol since I’m looking for replacement of my original strike (after that disappointing run with PDVS)

Cool switch! He sounds like a nice guy, glad he convinced you to make a switch.

All the best, hopefully after switching to the PAVS it'll help you climb up the rankings too

Apparently this racquet is problematic on serve - OMG I'm turning into @Nostradamus AGHHHHHH!!!!

Yep it has pretty much no free power lol but the benefit is if you can generate your own pace you can swing as hard as you can and still keep the balls in line. But I agree with you, I put some lead at 3/9 to add some mass to the hoop, it works for me so that’s my suggestion for this frame lol

They can’t be too much diff. A mold is a mold. More importantly here we need to find weight and balance. What grip shape do you think he’s using ?
Manufacturer HQ molded handle to his hand and preference. Frame structure enhanced for more comfort. Wish I had the weight and balance now, my info is very reliable ;-) but dates back some months, things may have evolved since.

I do find the original Aero storm that shares the same mold to be comfy enough. Certainly with Blast rough strings that are rather soft.

I was thinking just that. It's a rare quality. Reminds me a bit of the young Becker in this respect, with a less abrasive on-court personality.

I’m assuming he must be using it with steric weight of at least 11.7 or above. It would have zero power with anything less

So do we know yet if it's a VS or VS Tour under the 2019 Pure Aero PJ?
No need to split hairs. The only difference is the weight. Furthermore the difference with the original Aero storm is the elimination of visible cortex, which was a gimmick anyway. These racquets swing faster than Auropro drive but need low tension or powerfull string to make them playable like Sock does for years.
To bad wewont see faa in action on Roland Garros. So at the moment we we dont know if all the hype around faa is really justified.

yeah I am surprised as many pro use pure aero vs mold but not very popular among club players. I love this pure aero vs out of all Babolat (even if I used pure drive for longtime)

Many do as a starting base, add lead tape, overgrips and back to 4 3/8 etc.

Is it really the latest aero vs tour with RA 68 rating? not an earlier flexier storm gt with a pj????
I dont believe that, because than they should play baseball. Building up their grip like that would result in grips without any bevels like a round baseball bat.

We are talking no factory grip just the beveled pallet shape with 1.25-1.5mm of lead tape, bevels are clearly still there.
Even if you cant tell what grip you are using even without significant bevels and your opposite hand not guiding racquet
as well then even a guide dog wouldnt couldnt help you! :)

I do not think many play with 1.25-1.5 mms of lead tape where they hold the racket.

The rackets are standard length (686mm) and the unstrung weight and balance (including overgrip) is 314g and 32.0cm.

His string setup was:

Mains - Babolat RPM Blast Rough 16 (1.30) @ 23.0 KGS
Crosses - Babolat RPM Blast Rough 16 (1.30) @ 23.0 KGS

Hope this can be of help,

Some times lead is wrapped from the top of the grip down, but you are right, it doesn't usually cover where they hold the racquet

Ive seen plenty of the base of pro stock frames over the years and the following was visible in plenty of units
as you can see the bevels are very prominent not with either options below.
