Fell in Love then lost love for KSwiss Hypercourt Supreme/Express

Got frustrated with the weird changes Nike would make from generation to generation of shoe. Seemed they were getting smaller and smaller in the toe box. Size up would be too long for my tiny feet.
Word on the street is KSwiss have a good wide toe box. So I got a pair of Hypercourt Supereme. They fit like a glove out of the box. Didn't feel squished in nor did I feel I was floating around. Didn't wear out fast either. Thought I found the perfect shoe for me.
I also got the Hypercourt Express. Virtually just as good. I'd say I had a slight prefererence for the Supreme.

But as I got more mileage in the shoes, when I'd wear them I began having pain at my pinky toe joint--toe to base of foot. Thought maybe I was just playing too much or had a mild injury, but it was in both feet. If I went back to my old NIkes or to some Wilson Rush that I picked up on sale no issue.

So for the past few months I"ve been playing with either the NIke or Wilson. I figured I'd give the KSwiss's another try just for 1 hour. Even wearing them I felt a little pressure in that spot. On court, manageable for an hour, but pain became more present.
Has anyone else experienced that with this shoe? Frustrated, because overall I loved it.

That is the spot. So frustrating because I love every other aspect of this shoe.
I used to be able to wear these, but the ones I purchased in 2021 gave a lot of pain at that exact point. You could feel an indentation on the inside of the shoe! Had never been an issue before.

Hmm, I wonder if I could file it down. I didn't have any issue with my first pair of Hypercourt Supreme. But with my next pair of Supreme and a pair of Express I used on Clay, that spot got hit quickly.
Another variable I forgot, that might factor in, I started wearing the Shoes without my Orange Superfeet, after a few sessions switched the Superfeet in. I wonder if my old Superfeet lacked a little cushioning there?

Interesting, never experienced pain there and I have the same color way as in the video.

Always going to depend on the shape of foot and the sizing. My older shoes I never noticed it, but I haven't purchased any recently. My toes don't hit that area.

I've had 5 pairs of Supreme's, never had an issue, but got mine on sale during beginning of pandemic so maybe this is only an issue on later colorways. Weird.

I've had two pairs of the Supremes and I also sometimes have the pain in the same spot. At least I know its not just me now. I've considered the Express in 2E but wondering if that's just how the shoe is built and going the extra wide size will just make it too roomy?

The nice thing about the Supreme is it has such a nice heel lock that a slightly wide forefoot should not be problematic. IF it is you can likely fix it with a thicker sock/double sock.
