If you had to pick just one, what would it be?

I can see how amazing it would be if he won 2 more Masters titles this year as that would give him the outright record for a season with 6 and put him just one behind Nadal. It's likely that Novak will decline a bit next year so he'll never have as good an opportunity as he has now to break the record and it's unlikely any other player will win 7 Masters in the near future, if ever.

On the other hand, winning the WTF again this year will make him the first player to win the tournament 4 times in a row, it would be his 5th in total (the same as Sampras and Lendl) and would put him just one behind equalling Federer's record.

It's a close one for me but I'd probably have to pick the WTF. If he does finish this year with 3 slams and 6 Masters, people will obviously recognize it as an incredible season but I'd imagine many will say that it's not quite as great as Fed's 2006 if he doesn't win the 5th most prestigious tournament. And I have to say that 3 slams(if he wins the USO of course), 5 Masters 1000 and the WTF does look more balanced.

So which would you choose? Have at it and have fun. :)
 
Quit talking as if Djokovic won the US Open already. Wawrinka could be reading this thread.

He's reached the SF stage or better in the last 8 editions and he's won it once. He'll find a way to lose, don't worry.

Yeah, even if he wins the USO and nothing else this year I'll still be happy but there's nothing wrong with wanting that little bit more! ;)
 
If Djokovic wins the USO abd the WTF, he has as good a season as Fed in 2006. But if he wins the USO, WTF and an extra masters I will be the first to declare his season better than Fed's 2006. Because frankly, that's the only way he could do it. He wins these 3 titles, then he has the greatest season of the last 13 years.

Last 13 years? I'd say he has the greatest season since 69, if he gets more masters, USO and WTF.

Yeah, the more I think about it I think I'd take Cincy and another Masters over the WTF, even though deep down I know that the WTF is more prestigious than 2 Masters titles. It still irks me a little to this day that Nadal won Cincy and Nole still hasn't.

He just can not close the deal at both those events. Gets right to the edge almost every year. Maybe this year he has less pressure and wear and tear having won 2 majors already. Time will tell.
 
he will easily win atleast 2 more M1000. If he adds one WTF title, it will be an icing on the cake. And if he wins USO as well, it will become the best season in recent times.Better than Fed 2006
 
He should win Cincy and the USO! But don't win Montreal, let Rafa and Roddick keep the North American sweep for a bit longer...
