Gonzalez to miss 10 weeks with knee injury

Fernando Gonzalez will be out for 10 weeks with the knee problems that caused him to withdraw from Wimbledon. That means he will also miss Chile's Davis Cup tie against the Czech Republic in July.

"The treatment I’m receiving makes me stop for a long time. If I come back for Davis Cup it would make the injury get worse and I won’t even be at my 50 per cent for those matches," Gonzalez wrote on his official webiste. "I feel really bad about not playing the competition I like the most. I wish things were different but they aren’t.

If everything turns out as I hope my return tournament will be at Masters 1000 Toronto."

If Gonzo plays a few exhibitions at Wimbledon,I'll be sure to call in Drak to investigate that.
