Ferrero and the Return of the POG

I checked all the forums before starting this thread, but has anyone noticed that Ferrero has dumped his Head racquets and taken the POGs out of the closet. Checking the Head website, he is not mentioned as a sponsored player. Does anyone know if he is still under contract to Head? If you go to the major photo sites, pictures clearly show him using the Prince racquet. All in all, he is certainly playing better tennis.

He is using the POG Longbody and Coria used to use this frame as well.

Anyone have the specs on Ferrero's racquet?

funny how when one player does well all of a sudden threads suddenly pop up about his/her frame.

Yep it is lame, but you'll get used to it, there are plenty of threads much lamer too.

As for the frame it is POG OS either straight, or some lead in tip and possibly handle.

IMO it looks like it is straight, and that would be very interesting

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's a POG LB. Do a search and you'll see a zillion threads on it. 100si, 28in long, 12pts HL stock, but I'm guessing his is 12.3oz and 9-10pts headlight (from what I recall of the specs Jura once posted).

When did he get dumped by Head exactly? I'm watching him us a black PJ of a POG against Robredo. The last press release from Head mentioning JCF was back in Jan 24/06.

how sure are you guys that jcf uses the pog longbody?

was/is he the only high profile pro that uses the longbody?
im thinking so because of the release of the nxg in all three sizes...

is the longbody still considered a "POG" in the eyes of most players?

and thanks

Several pros used the POG LB until fairly recently. JCF, Coria, Nalbandian, etc. Some of them used PJs of the NXT, but if you look closely, you'll see the POG LB and the NXT have different crossbars.

head owns lotto, they sponsor USPTA.

I don't think that's true, Head doesn't own Lotto.

Lotto is the official clothing supplier to the ATP (that's why their clothes have the ATP logo on them), so any pro that does not have their own clothing sponsorship can get free or discounted Lotto clothes to wear from the ATP. That's why you see so many lower ranked pros, men and women, wearing Lotto clothes on the courts.

Actually I do seem to recall threads started about JCF's racquet before he started "playing well", and the fact that it is painted doesn't help end the speculation either.

I was at both his semi and quarterfinal matches here in Cin'ti and saw him out practicing on the prior w/e and the racket is a POG, so I assume it's the 28" with the 100sq" head. I love to try this racket sometimes because I've always loved playing with the OS version.
