One of the more interesting round of 16 matchups pits Juan Carlos Ferrero against James Blake. Ferrero has shown some good form lately, with some recent good tournaments including a great Wimbledon (for him) and he last played Blake at Wimbledon beating him in 4 sets in the 3rd round. Blake has had some decent results this summer, considering his year to date, but still probably not quite what he is looking for.

Personally I like Ferrero in this one. His speed and strong consistent groundies off both wings will be a bit too much for Blake yet again I feel.
 
Ferrero will step it up big time. He knows he has points to defend and he also knows how much the draw has opened up for him. If Blake doesn't beat himself, JCF will overpower and out-duel him from the baseline anyway. Not to mention how big JCF has been serving recently; extremely underrated part of his game, especially that heavy kicker out wide on the ad court.
 
Ferrero loves playing flat hard hitters, because he run around and counterpunch all day, re-directing shots for winners. Plus Ferrero always beats Blake, I dont' see anything changing this time. Ferrero in straights
 
I'm a big Ferrero-fan and I love Ferrero's form this year. It seems he really is back from where ever he was. i think Ferrero will win in 3 sets.
 
JC kicked Blake's butt here last year 2 and 4 and he wasn't in the really good form he's been in lately (and Blake wasn't in the bad form he's been in this year) so I would be really surprised if JC loses this one.
 
Blake's body language, movement, and facial expression right now are all a perfect example of why he generally doesn't do so well in slams. He's totally full of himself at the moment, which is good for now, but it's bad in the long term. He's too high when he's high, and you always come down at some point.
 
Wow! James played unbelievable tennis in the first set...amazing....
I'm pretty impressed that JCF is even playing after that golf cart accident...did you see the guys legs? Major ouch...he's a trooper...a great win for James...this should give him the confidence he needs:D

Dang, JC always seems to have some unusual accidents and situations as well! Didn't know that...but right now where I am is showing Roddick and Ferrer.

Well, so much for that theory. James was on FIRE! When he's on like this the only guy who has a shot at downing him is Federer.

Hey! never understimate "new girlfriend inspiration." My final Algebra score in HS was 98 (all on account of a cute little brunette).:-D :-D Before she came I sucked at Math. After she wasn't around anymore...well, you can guess what happened.
