JCF is currently using a TGT339 / Speed MP.

PT’s have better build quality and feel, he got used with them, hard to step down.
PT means different layup, not necessarily “better”. It is all subjective.
Usually when you played with the old PT’s, you do not fall for the new Tgt’s. Only if you are a salesman and try to spread false rumor.

I think its more about superstition when pros refuse to play with updated versions of their racquets. Fed would have won a lot more tournaments if would have changed to bigger head size Wilson. Same for Sampras who even admitted this after his career.
