The umpire calling the "touch" when it didn't seem like it was anywhere near him seems like the big issue here. Especially on such a big point but It's hard to tell on the quality of the footage but if it hit anywhere, it must of slightly caught his racquet? Fils absolutely would have seen from his position and said nothing, no doubt why he was mad at the end.

It would be very interesting to go back through the threads and count up all of the people who are at the same time crusading human rights lawyers and sticklers for the absolute fidelity to the legal process when it comes to men defending charges of domestic violence and yet who have confidently dubbed Sinner a confirmed doper and a drug cheat because it's been proven to the arbitrary burden of proof the have constructed in their own minds. I'm not autistic enough to trawl back for this kind of thing but it would be an interesting exercise. I wonder how we might interpret the results.

Well not sure what this says about my tennis fandom but I dont know who the hell these two guys are:oops: Well ok Fils I know but this other dude? No.
 
Fils has this cockyish d1ckhead attitude for the most part.

However in these circumstances, Seyboth Wild is totally out of line in this one and should of had a discussion with the Umpire with the racquet that touched the ball.

While I agree with you overall that you either trust the process or you do not, some processes are more efficacious than others and if a doubter can reasonably point out the flaws in a process when compared to another and use that as a basis for having "double standards", I guess that's fine.

Not to say the methodology employed by the people you are mocking are that sound, ofc.

How is it you can have slowmo replays to review whether a ball bounces twice or not, but you can't have one for something like this? Ridiculous stuff. Was there a Kansas City Chief in the building or something?

Ban umpire. Use video and Hawkeye and computers to umpire the match. Umpire's eyes are not level with the balls, thus they don't have perfect view of everything that happens on court, including net calls. Let cameras and computer umpire Tennis. We got rid of line persons. It's time to get rid of umpires.
