We definitely realize how blessed we are to have it, men8ifr. It was not on our list of requirements when buying a house. :)

Sweet setup!!! I am sure you will have many hours of fun on your court!!! (Also seems like a great thing to have at a party/bbq) I would get a couple old frames strung up with syn gut for guests, and you can have mini tournaments or couples doubles tournaments!! I hope you have an awesome time on your DIY tennis court!!!! It turned out awesome!!

Thanks a lot, JohnB! Yep, we keep a few old racquets on hand for just that purpose! :)

Looks great Congratulations..The only thing i would have done differently was not have the basketball court lined fully ; maybe just a 12 inch free throw line..Unless maybe you guys are big basketball players?:)

This is so cool; my uncle's house had an old clay court in the back, singles only.. i was always very jealous of him and would love to have my own.. but I doubt I will ever get it on my teacher salary!

Thanks, comeback - yeah, I shoot baskets more frequently than I play tennis - shorter recovery time needed! :) And it's something I can do by myself. I actually would have been pretty thrilled just to have the basketball court out back - the tennis court was an extremely nice bonus!

That would be pretty cool, too, having his own clay court. I will tell you that we have a very normal house - I never would have thought that we could have a tennis court either; for whatever reason, someone decided to build one in the back yard of this house, and we were fortunate enough to find it when it was up for sale. So ya never know! :)
