First impressions Kirschbaum pro line evolution

First impressions are that this string is god tier.

Only have had one hit so far about 15 mins after it was strung. Played for around 90 mins.

Playing on a beefy vcore 95 2021. It's around 5g factory over spec with double overgrip and around 1.2g at 12. With dampener it's 345.6g, not sure about sw but I'd estimate in the low-mid 330s.

Strung at 55/52. 1.25mm version

The spin and bite on this string is extremely impressive. It grabbed like a shaped string, I expect because of its texture; slices were very fun to use and the topspin was nuts.

When I refer to texture, it isn't as slippery as some strings I suspect due to whatever is added to string to soften it. Regardless pocketing and string movement didn't seem affected, these were outstanding. But I suspect this is what is helping the ball to grip so well on the strings.

The comfort of this string is amazing. 10/10. It is slightly muted but not in a way that you can't feel what's going on, it's just extremely comfortable; much more than you would expect considering it's stiffness rating with string data. Comfort wise feels more like it should be in the 170-180s, not 208.

The string has a lot of pop. Almost too much but the spin makes it manageable. If it's anything like pro line 2, im expecting this to be slightly tamed on the 2nd hit. If so, I imagine it would benefit from a 5-10% prestretch when stringing but we shall see. Yes I know it's factory prestretched.

If pop isn't slightly less next hit I'll string 1-2lb tighter. The 3lb differential on this stick felt good though. But I will also try a 2.5 & 2lb differential to see if it tames it just that lil bit more.

Extremely impressed. Honestly so far my favourite string I've tried. It's supposed to also have great tension maintenance and performance longevity. Will see what happens! Might have found my personal holy string grail.

Evolution seemed slippery to me ..what round strings are more slippery and same medium stiffness?

Not saying it's not slippery at all, just not as slippery as some of the most slippery polys. It feels like a perfect balance of slip Vs grab for a round string though.

Spin assistance of the 1.20 gauge with the Diadem Elevate V3 FS98 was pretty damn good for a round-shaped string.

Now, I have been hitting with the 1.25 gauge with the tight 18*18 Prince Synergy. Most probably I will hit with it again next time I play tennis to see how's the tension maintenence.

So far, Kirshbaum Max Power and Evolution have played the most stable for longer than anything else, by miles!

Max Power offers less Power for sure. Flash (orange) is easier to handle, does everything very well.

Kirschbaum orange is best orange string by miles...it competes with poly tour pro n evolution for best medium stiff round string...these 3 round string gave me most spin for round in my 22 ezone98

Would you say flash is more or less powerful than evolution, or similar?
Having played Max Power (red) 1.20 - Evolution 1.20 - Flash (orange) 1.20, I'd say pretty similar.

Flash felt a bit softer (livelier thay say?) than Evolution which in turn felt a bit stiffer and better ball bite than Flash.

So, Flash is the first string I'd recommend for someone to try from Kirschbaum at their usual tension. Then, Evolution for slightly more stiffness - more responsive / less dwell-time stringbed.

For me, Max Power plays very similar to Luxilon 4G.

Please don't pre-stretch it, its already a dead feeling string.

What's your definition of dead string? We must have different interpretations.

We will see. If power difference is significantly different between 1st and 2nd hit like pro line 2 is, a very mild pre stretch will potentially just skip this initial power spike difference

Just string it tighter, the string is already pre-stretched

I'm well aware as I said in original post. Stringing tighter may reduce power more than desired after initial pop drop. Whereas lil extra prestretch may negate this mechanical change without nerfing pop after.

Not sure if it's going to be the same as pro line 2 though in this regard, but we shall see.

Not trying both and just stringing tighter would be more simplistic and a potential miss of a better outcome

As expected from using proline 2, after first hit the evolution lost that initial high pop of the string. This isn't a bad thing as it's much more controlled and imo plays better once it has 'settled'. But the break in period is fun in its own way ngl haha. But for match play would be better to either break in the strings if got the time to do so, or if not, most likely a low % prestretch while stringing to skip this break in liveliness.

Definitely wouldn't want to string it higher though. Playability duration and tension maintenance is supposed to be so good with this string though that a low % prestretch if no chance to break it in before matches, would likely be the best option. Will have to test that another time.

I've played for an additional 4 hours after first 90 min hit now spread across 2 sessions including serves and point play. The spin may have marginally reduced along with the pop, but it's hard to be sure as first hit was on syn clay and consecutive hits were on a very new and skiddy syn grass court. Regardless spin, grab and slices were still fantastic as well as ball curve on serves. The spin and grab of this string really continues to impress.

The performance of string across 2nd and 3rd hits has remained exceptional & consistent. Still highly comfortable for a string with such a stiffness rating, but if you have joint impact issues probably better to still stay away and use something less stiff, or just string lower.

Still very decent pop when you need it but also great to defend with; I am using a 95in frame though which helps.

Also easy to produce drop shots. Some polys I've struggled with this because on more touch shots as the strings do nothing and I hit way too short. But found this to still provide that mild spring from bed on gentle shots.

That being said it's possible a contribution to this is the 3lb lower cross tension
