I feel this match was the emergence of Stanimal, where Wawrinka really stepped up in terms of mentality, and would prove to take bigger titles against big opponents later on.

The first time he ever came to my attention was semis at Cincy one year. (Think 2012?) Could see he was big time talented but honestly just looked too heavy for top 10 singles.

IMO it is huge that all those matches even went to 5 sets. And I would say US Open 2013 is right up there with AO 2013/14.

I agree that AO 2015 is a bit behind though, mainly because of the final set. But even there, if Wawrinka converts the BP in the first game, everything could end different.
