It's the first time in the Open Era that three French Open semi-finalists got there without losing a single set.

What does it tell about the tournament and those players? Their very high level? Low level of competition? Any other conclusions?

Nadal had a challenger draw so far so it's not a surprise. He has played well before RG too, he's the biggest favorite for the title.
Thiem and Wawrinka are more surprising. Wawrinka isn't usually this mentally consistent and let go a set more often than not. He's very focused and that's good news. Thiem looked always happy to enter a marathon, forgetting that it's not because you train for 4 hours straight that you have to do it on a real match and that winning quickly also gives you confidence in your game. He finally stepped up and showed he was willing to win the tournament.

I'd say it's a good news because Thiem has backed up his good clay season with his RG run so far and imo he is more capable than Djokovic to win the title. And also Wawrinka zoning is always enjoyable to watch. It should be 2 very interesting semi finals on Friday.
Weather forecast says it should rain the night before but not during day time, around 23°C and a bit of wind but less than today, it's gonna be good.
