The newer models (Black/Red) that are listed as graphite/fiberglass composition say "SIC Ceramic Graphite" on the frame.

The older (Red/Silver) ones have the exact same listing on the frame and were indeed graphite/ceramic... What's the real composition of the newer ones?

Also, regarding the new RETRO 98, is it a tapered or constant beam? I hear it will be graphite/ceramic composition....Any one know the flex specs?

Thanx!!!

Louis i am convinced there hasnt been SIC Ceramics in this frame for some while...if you would have hit with it's precursor the VTPro (the one that had a tension range of something like 54-56) i think you would agree..that racquet, while not powerful, was ALOT firmer than the current Pro1 becase of the ceramics (you could feel it)..the newer Pro1's hit like a pillow and ceramic is a stiff materal...as a guess i think the new Pro1's are basic graphite construction, but with Fischer you never really know w. their quirkiness as far as lengths and such go

The retro is a constant beam 320 gram 27 inch 21 beam, 64 flex 16 x 20 string pattern. I have been told by a gamma rep. Full Specs have not been listed on any websites yet. I believe it will say ceramic construction on the frame, but not sure if it will actually be in it--ie pro # 1

What is "Retro" about a RDC 64 Flex?

The regular Pro 1 @ RDC 60 is more retro. Would have made sense to make the new Retro with a 54 - 56 flex.

Oh well, another dud hits the market.

The Retro also has "SIC Ceramic Graphite" -- at 12 o'clock. Spotted on the promo .pdf file, downloadable at the Fischer USA web site.

I was hoping that that meant a return to the ceramic construction (from the fiberglass in recent Pro 1s). Now I'm really bummed that the recent red-and-black ones also say "SIC Ceramic Graphite"...
